If anything the movie was the perfect adaptation of DOOM. Fast paced in areas, gory, fun to take part in, and just all around entertaining. It doesn't even need that much of a plot, it's just all around awesome.

@KaptainSparta The movie doesn't even have demons in it. There's no Hell, no demons. Just genetically mutated monsters or whatever, with zombies. Generic sci-fi storyline that's been done a million times.

The movie is a terrible adaptation of DOOM.

@KaptainSparta I've actually always loved the story. Not many movies or video games have the balls to go to hell and deal with the subject the way the Doom games do. I was hoping for some literal hell to be unleashed in this movie but just got a generic sci-fi storyline.

I would love to have seen the kind of stuff you see in Doom 3 happen on the big screen in this movie.

@KaptainSparta The book was awesome and exactly like the game. Flynn Taggert I think is the doom guy if i remember right and he ends up going to hell through a portal and fights spider mech demon and cyberdemon. It was very fun to read. sadly i cant find the 2nd book. ill have to order it online.

@uome20bukz But the movie showed the hell knight in it, Thats a demon the only thing was they didnt really go to hell. To be honest im not sure how they would imagine hell. Its sorta hard to take it seriously as scary when there traveling through what looks like intenstines and activating skull switches xD.

@sonicadx Yeah, it was modeled after the Hell Knights from the games, but it wasn't actually a demon in the movie. The movie had nothing to do with Hell. And I didn't mean they had to literally go to Hell like in the game, but still keep the whole Hell concept part of the storyline. Give characters really hellish visions (the demons fucking with their head), maybe even glimpses of Hell itself.. Just give the movie a really eerie, evil and hellish atmosphere. That's what a DOOM movie should be.

Or if not just make a Doom 2 movie where they travel in the city, The concept imo sounds cool but if possible they should also incorperate the hell concept as well. It would be cool like cloverfield but instead with a cyberdemon and a massive army of demons perhaps.

When you mean evil do you mean when he ordered his men to shoot any survivors and when he shot the soldier?. the reason why he was shooting civilians and being "mean" was because his JOB was to make sure Nothing Infected reached the surface....so he decided to basically Kill everyone so then problem would be solved :)
