@batsong Thats brilliant, be sure to post pictures when you do that! Go the whole way, build a surface for rolling cigars on, you could open a whole new franchise - "Batson Cigars - Rolled on Batson Guitars"

No 'pearl vomit' haha... More power to you. Wood is more beautiful, more creative, and the big added bonus that it vibrates a h* of a lot better.
Also, good idea on the nomex for the curly redwood. I bought some nice curly RW a few years back and found that it just doesn't have the strength to weight ratio and structural stability with all that runout so it produces a timid guitar prone to cracking. But as a nomex double top that wouldn't be an issue at all. Good thinking.

that particular guitar has a "lattice brace" pattern and a double top. the side soundport makes a LOT of things better... ;)
