  • @downie102 do you have a life?

  • @pyromaanisi I doubt it

  • @downie102 Oh yeah you're right, I didnt post it, and now im in paradise, they have youtube here :D

  • I'm a patriot of Earth and humanity, not any single, particular expanse of land, and I find all cosmonauts, astronauts and scientists to be heroic pioneers for humanity's next stage.

  • Gagarin was first human in space, not first Russian. Regardless of what communist party's intentions were, for the scientists and cosmonauts it was about scientific achievement, not politics. And it was an achievement, paved way to current space science. What did lunar landings achieve, if they existed at all?

  • lunar landing achieved nothing but lies.

  • @Pseudologic I believe the lunar landings existed.

But I say that Gagarin's space flight will be more and more recognized as the world moves away from the cold war era. I think in 50 or 100 years or so, Gagarin will be known for the first man in space, not some communist beating US in the space race.

  • @Pseudologic

If they existed at all. Nice try.

  • @Pseudologic

You'll find Gagarin was hardly in it for scientific purposes.

If the lunar landings existed at all? Laughable.

  • @Pseudologic I agreed with you pretty much until your last sentence. If you doubt the existence of the Apollo landings, good for you for being skeptic-minded, but there is empirical evidence that, without a doubt, prove Apollo landed on the moon (moon rocks, mirrors left for laser-tracking, Soviet acknowledgement). Now borrowing from your sentence structure: Regardless of what America's intentions were, for the scientists and astronauts, it was about scientific achievement, not politics.

  • @VanKlaunch Fair enough.

  • I read that they sent 3 or 4 up before Gagarin who died so they weren't publicized? One called Ledovski etc.

  • maybe they did not compleatly reach space

  • @punkimiko are u fraking retarded? havent u seen the video, of cource he reched the outer space, no aircraft can stay flying on sky for 110 minutes, i thinkt hat was the time yuri was in space

  • @Chicken1397 ok i get it he did reach space i get your argument

  • @bluenail90 Not Ledovski, Lebowski, ha, ha,ha. No, their first try was successful. Sovietic sciencists were really good. In 1963 first woman in space, 1965 first spacewalk and before united statians reached the moon the soviet space agency reached Mars and Venus. In fact they didn't put a man on the moon as that had no interest for them and was expensive.

  • There has been an argument ongoing that Illusyhin travelled into space before Gagarin but landed in China after technical problems. He also allegedly spent many months in hospital there as a result of injuries sustained during the crash

  • MORE CAPITALIST LIES!

  • IDIOT!

  • Was just a little joke. Get over it.

  • The Earth is blue but there is no God-Yuri Gagarin

  • he's right!

  • @Manumascabrera "Gagarin flew into space, but didn't see any god there" - Nikita Khrushchev.

Reality is, Khrushchev made that remark as propaganda, though it's understandable why people would think Gagarin said it (*in mock authoritative voice* "COMMUNISM!"), that is until the fact he was baptized in a orthodox church is noted.

  • Orbiting Earth in the spaceship, I saw how beautiful our planet is. People, let us preserve and increase this beauty, not destroy it!

    Yuri Gagarin

  • // the americans knew about the launch.

No, they did not, otherwise they would have sent Shepard in the end of March, as it was initially scheduled. The Soviets made all their first launches in big secrecy, and the Americans knew nothing of the scheduled flights. But the Soviets knew all American plans, since the Americans were announcing their flights much in advance.

  • // of course russians made militar fotos since

// 4 years with there sputniks.

Yes, the Soviets made photos before 1961, but why Gagarin made no photo of Earth when he allegedly was in space. It's quite possible that the man who really flew on April 12 did took photos, but all the information perished because of the accident.

  • Yes, the Americans have probably detected a man aboard Vostok, but it doesn't mean that it was Gagarin. There is a version that the man who was really launched on that day died during flight, That explains any lack of audio or video. It was another man aboard. The Americans couldn't prove that another man went into space, so they accepted that Gagarin was in space.

  • the americans knew the about the lauch

  • there is more evidence as one need.

it was no prolem to notice that in

Vostok was a human beeing and US GOV

checked that : US gov and Kenedy was not

    idiots,

Even a private radiostation noteced .

Of course there was a fotos, one

dont' need a human beenig to do it.

of course russians made militar fotos since

    4 years with there sputniks.

  • That Is some stunning footage from a great era in human history. With Yuri's launch, launched the space race.
