@frkonalsh2009 actually in the 3ds (with the ambassador program) the manual says: for save the game press start to go on the menu, then swicht to controller 2 and press the control pad up ^ and (A) to the same time. that will unlock the save option to the 1 controller only pushing SELECT and confirm it with START

this save trick also work on zelda II but the only problem is that you ALWAYS start with only 3 hearts fill i mean you can have a lot of hearts but only 3 of them are full :S

Exactly! I've absolutly no idea how you'de find that stuff. It would take forever trying to burn every flipping bush in the game. I'm 22 and played loads of the NES games back in the day and still do on occasion but this game I never had and I'm trying to get into it after having been a massive fan of OOT for the N64. It just seems like a mamoth game to get into :/

@lupemcfly His eyes will open and close, when it opens one arrow will kill it. There is a stronger version of that monster later on, but same concept. Dodge it's fireballs and wait for its eyes to open and fire.

oh wow!! now i know why they used the Gamecube version for the Virtual console. this version (original NES) has so many mistakes during the Story thing! Ganon is spelled wrong, Rupees is spelled wrong, and the story looks like a preschooler wrote it lol. but it was all fixed and updated on the VC version :D

Yes, I remember one of first playthroughs, you have to find everything yourself, although the manual gives you hints but that's it.

Yeah, it was the only way to record on high quality, but I play as if I were playing on the actual NES. No save states/load states, If I want to save I have to die and sometimes that takes time :D

You need to have full health to throw your sword, as long as you have full health you can throw your sword.

There is a Legend of Zelda port for the GBA which is a part of the Classic NES series. The porting isn't perfect but it will do.

This is one of the best Nintendo games of all time. I keep coming back to it every few years, I've beaten it a few times - and I still forget my way around every time i pick it up so its like a new game to me. When youre really bored you can use the game genie codes too, just makes getting through the first 20 mins a lot easier or so and one of the best gg codes is faster text. Interesting thing with the "hidden rooms" code - does anybody else get the "Junk" rooms?? Like they arent meant 2 b thr

This was played on an emulator but I don't use save/load states, I just use the built in save system from the cartridge.

The collecter's edition is just emulated, it's not an actual port. Same goes for the the Virtual Console on the Wii.
