  • thats honestly my biggest problem.. my portions are just too big and i just love food so much. i have a rough time controlling HOW MUCH i eat.

  • Yea, That definitely makes sense to some degree.. If you only ate a Big Mac and fries once a day and nothing else you would probably lose weight because you would only be taking in about a thousand calories.. By contrast if you ate four thousand calories of health food everyday you may become as fat as house if you don`t burn it off

  • True it doesnt matter what you eat, you cant eat poptarts and lose weight. But he is saying that is not the best way to go about it. Being in a calorie deficit does make you lose weight, but it is faster if you do it other ways, such as through carb cycling or a ketogenic diet (which im not a fan of).

  • I have done a Google search and could not find anything that Steve has died! Is there a link or proof that such has happened?

  • Wrong, ive been watching the vids and like them however it is ALSO what you eat as well. Of course it is portion control as well, however certain things have less calories 1 cup of fresh spinach 5-10 calories and potatoes = Alot more. So people Also it is WHAT you eat as well, keep this in mind!!!

  • @hellotoeverone that is a question very hard to answer it matters what your physical state is at the moment what your job is how many calories you burn a day what your training routine is are you male or female what your body is naturally (genetically) inclined to store as fat there is no simple answer to this ,however, in theory male=2500 calories a day want to lose weight cut by 500 female=2000 calories a day want to lose weight cut by 500 THEORY not a given law

I'm in no way in top shape, I've been in excellent shape while doing hard labour jobs a few years back, and been in terrible shape from having an office jobs and never working out, but I've always argued with people that losing weight is math, Burn more fat than you take. There is never an excuse to being over weight besides lazyness. Last month I decided to get into shape and have been doing all I can to gain muscle and lose fat. Nice videos, very informing.

  • I eat egg whites in the morning.. with oatmeal... and lunch i have a salad with tomatoes. chicken and no dressings.. i been reducing my sugar and card intake and i run 3miles aday and sprints in the 3miles..and my stomach still have a little fat... am i doing something wrong?(used to be fat btw so could it be access skin catching up?)

  • @kaysh1 Hey kaysh my name is Vishal Sharma. I lost more than 160 lbs. Your problem is in the question that you have posted. You are doing and extreme amount of cardio which is great. That will get you lean, but you are not doing any resistance training. Incorporate resistance training in your exersize regime and you will see results within months. Yes it is possible to gain muscle and lose excess body fat at the very same time. May God Bless you.

  • hey hey! Have you thought about cleverous 402 diet (do a search on google)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my buddy lost crazy amounts of weight with it.

  • @prak123ful This is Vishal Sharma. I agree with steve when he says that all diets work. All diets work because they limit the calories that you take in. I was nearly 350 lbs at one point in my life. I lost more than 160 lbs and like to help people. I consider Steve like my personal fitness guru as well.

Im in 11 grade in high school and dont know yet if i want to take biochemistry want to learn someof this stuff

  • How do I get lean without intense diet and cardio? Whenever I try and lose a lot by doing cardio I'm fine but on days that I don't do it it seems like my body burns muscle and gains fat mass.

  • Yes it is what you eat. What you eat > causes you to eat more or less depending what you eat. Stop giving out advice when your advice is so so so wrong and unscientific.

    Eating high carbs raises insulin, which controls fat metabolism. If you eat carbs you make glycerol 3 phosphate which is needed to store fat.

  • very nice video, most people dont know this actually. a couple of months ago there was a guy that did a experiement for a study and he was curious as to what exactly to eat. he only ate really fatty foods like donuts and chips and what not, but he ate them at small inervals throughtout the day and he still lost alot of weight. obviously reinforcing what you just said :)...but still, most people dont hear this that often..

    One of the most frustrating things about dieting is that everyone seems to say something different. I've lost 60 lbs since December, just by walking and not over eating. I love salad, so that helps. Eat less, move more.

If you ate a big mac and drank a caramel frappe and few hours later & do cardio excersize for about 50 minutes, would you lose weight, or still stay on you? That's exactly what I did today, n I rarely eat Mcdonald foods too.

  • @xytsdx2 Weight loss occurs over time by creating a calorie deficit or shortage in the body. So as long as you created that shortage consistently over weeks and months you will lose weight and one 'BAD" meal won't matter!

  • The number of meals does make a difference. Studies have shown that eating multiple times a day instead of bigger meals triggers your metabolism more often, speeding it up.

    5'6 and i started working out on a good gym 2 weeks ago- from 245 lbs dropped to 230 lbs.. is this a good sign?

    im 21 years old and i dont know but i lift heavy (bench: 300, deadlift 500lbs, bicep curls 100lbs and so on)

    but im 20% fat

    what do i need to do to build more muscle mass and loose the fat?

    do i need to lessen white rice intake? thanks and more power

  • excuse me... we are the most educated people in word? i am canadian. as canadians we are just as (if not more) educated than americans because when an american tells us 'i'm from nebraska', we've heard of that state and can locate it, but when we say 'i'm from alberta' most americans don't even know that's in canada. also, our education is more accessible because the government funds more of it so not just rich people can go to uni. or what about europe? australia? korea? south africa? EDUCATED.

Even the obese ones (and I've never seen more obese people than when i was in the US) read up and study and are experts on what they need to do - they just don't do it. But in terms of knowing what they're SUPPOSED to do to lose weight Americans are obsessively educated!
