@emogirl10ful No, its just a Castle owned by a family who live there, thats open much of the year to the public, the early Harry Potters were filmed there in parts. Its about five hours drive from London :)

@GodericG Not really... the tour guides tell you where what bit was filmed etc, and how it was when the actors were there, but no... its still a working castle, the owners live there in the Winter.. its amazing x

Since I'm a huge HP fan, my parents told me; 'We are going to Hogwarts' :p

but this doesn't even look like hogwarts. I know Hogwarts was fake for 40% but this is only the quidditch trainingfield from the first two Harry Potter movies, I think this castle would get twice as much visits if it was a bit Harry Potter related :L

Also, Is this anywere near London?

I live in Holland, and I might go to London w/ Christmas (Hamleys!!!! :D) and maybe to this castle.

This does look like Hogwarts in the first few films, the flying lessons were filmed in the grounds, but alot of it was done by computer.

@gogo245 No, they used it for a lot of the first couple of films, the shed is on here that was used for Hagrids hut, and the forest that was the forbidden forest. They added alot of computer effects too

@stanny111 Yes, I have seen the owners on a telly programme. Its an amazing place. I found people were lovely all around the Northumberland area. I loved Bamburgh Castle and Seahouses too, and specially Craster. Its such a beautiful area.

Have just, unwittingly, booked a holiday cottage a stone's throw from the castle for July of this year! I'm a big, big HP fan (more so Snape actually!) & can't believe I didn't realise this was part of the setting for Hogwarts! Duh! Fortunately my 13-year-old son is into both HP & castles (my hubby more the latter than former I think!) so we're definitely be paying this place a visit!! Thanks for this 'preview'! :-)
