The game continues to release new updates as far as know, although only a small group of people play it now. Its made by NCSoft the same company that now does Aion.

I played for wow but stopped not so long ago. But what do you get for killing bosses? amor? wepons?

about 30-40 armor pieces and weapons drop..and 1 boss jewel specific to each epic raid (the only jewelry in the game that gives stats like crit, atk speed, resistances, etc...all other jewelry in the game is just magic defence stat and nothing else, so its priceless and the most valuable thing.

haha cause 6 of 9 ppl in every party are support that just buff every so often or heal...I was there for the PvP, but when we won and started killing the raids I had no party, so I just ran around ressing ppl who died :)

when this boss first came out without the proper quest items etc etc you could get 1 shot by its flame spouts, it took weeks to farm the mats to raid this boss, and even then its really not an easy feat to heal this encounter. Not to mention you have to worry about rival clan coming in and pwning you at 10%. The boss was half the fight keeping a rival clan off your ass while you killed this fairly tough encounter was the other half.

@Aladurien Yeah, its a world boss. So its not to hardcore, just like in WoW against Kazzak and all that, most of the time its basically a tank and spank. World bosses are rarly that severe. This one is one of the hardest, and its hard to see the strat, but there is one. Thats why it keeps moving, and dropping meteors. There is a strat, this vid just doesn't show it.

not really...theres tanking in Aion the same as WoW or most games, its just you can get by without them on most things in L2.

like for example on this boss, everyone can survive 1 hit from full HP, so generally each party spaces out and whenever they get aggro, they just stop attacking so the boss aggros someone new and chases after them, healers can keep ppl up non-stop, its just bad for their mana if someone is tanking for an extended amount of time.

u just need stacked groups with valakas necklace and major arcana robe (the robe sucks unless u have valky necklace). First times we killed it was with a zerg of like 70+ people, and it just goes crazy...the more people you bring the harder it gets, more kills, ppl may lose buffs, healers out of mana, etc...

All L2 raids are the same way, easiest with 3-4 groups of fully stacked chars.
