This came from the album "All This and Worl War II" The Beatles were covered by all the top singers and groups back in the mid 1970s. The track "A Day in the Life" is the best cover of a Beatles track ever recorded. Give it a listen and see if it don,t blow your socks off!
Guys every version of "We Can Work it Out" is great. This and of course the original version from the Beatles are the best. Too bad you can't get this cover off of I-tunes. I say we trade reject music like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Eminem, Bieber, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi, and Maroon 5 off of I-tunes, for this excellent cover. End of story.
@jddmr22181 it might interest you to know that the beatles thought very highly of the four seasons, so much so that john lennon said that the gazette lp was one his favorites, and, fyi, mccartney has co ownership of a few of the seasons early hits.and commenmted that he was flattered when the seasons covered 2 of their songs..so if you are going to puke, please clean up after yourself!
I found this record in my collection this morning, hadn.t played it for decades and started with this song: what a great performance with a killer bass line!!
Wow! When was this released.? Any one hear the chord changes at 1:04? They are the changes in She's So Heavy on Abbey Road. Say it ain't so, Joe! And I just now got done scanning the other comments. Duh and double duh. Now, when exactly was this done.?Is this the Seasons or a tribute band I'm listening to? Bob Crewe was a genius. Still is in my book.
I just saw JERSEY BOYS last night based of course on the story of The 4 Seasons but I get confused on who was with the group and when ~ was "C'mon Marianne" the last single that the original 4 did together?
Nick left in 1965 so that year was the end of the original 4. I think Nick's last single was Working my way back to you and Joe Long made his debut on Opus 17.
It sounds to me the first vocals are by drummer Gerry Polici, the second vocals are by guitarist Don Ciccone, and then the third by Frankie Valli, the same way it was done for "December 1963 (Oh, What A Night)".
If any band is going to do a Beatles tribute (which is extremely difficult for any band b/c the bar is set sooo high), it should be the four seasons!!!!
This was actually a tribute from the 20th Century Fox Motion Picture / Beatles Tribute called "All Of This & World War Three" Frankie Valli also recorded "A Day In the Life" on that LP set (tribute)...
The album set also had Tina Turner, David Essex, The Bee Gees, Rod Stewart, Frankie Laine, Peter Gabriel, Helen Reddy, Jeff Lynne, Leo Sayer, Elton John, Ambrosia, Brothers Johnson, Status Quo,Roy Wood, & many More
I think it is GENIUS how they segue momentarily into "I want you (She's so Heavy)" from Abbey rd. for a couple bars during the refrain... A wonderful tribute to the Beatles! I approve so entirely!
Well, Paul was willin', but evidently Jane wasn't. Look for Stevie Wonder's cover of this, it's amazing. I am a Beatles fan from the day they hit the US charts, but I have to admit that Stevie took an already amazing song and arrangement and one upped it.

I think I'm going to puke. Never, ever cover a Beatles song unless you can do it better. Which basically means...never cover a Beatles song.

This sounds like the 1975 incarnation of the Seasons...Gerry Polci, Frankie, Don Ciccone and John Paiva.

I agree that Stevie Wonder's arrangement was the best of all the Stevie Wonder Who/Fab Four Seasons versions.
Stevie's arrangement was copied on American Idol by David Archuleta.

Paul McCartney wrote this about his girlfriend, an actress named Jane Asher. They split for good in 1968.

Stevie's is awesome. Can has a decent one, as well. There's a very nice intro to it (though is has nothing to do with the original song).
