I dont know what's in the « italian dressing », here, in France, i never buy ready to use dressings, I always prepare my own, so try this one : olive oil, balsamic vinegar, a teaspoon of lemon juice, salt, pepper, a pinch of garlic. You can add some herbs : parsley and chive.
@k00gan I totally agree with you, I don't remember the last time I bought dressing, it takes more time to search for ready-made dressing in the store than to put together one with things I have at home.
I made this! Unfortunately couldn't find the colored pasta, so I made the white one with cheese inside. Then I put Artichoke Hearts and Olives. I wanted to try to put Sundried Tomatoes, Asparagus, Tomatoes, and both Green/Black Olives but couldn't find all of them. Also got low fat Italian dressing. -- Either way, it came out delicioussss. I appreciate the idea. I know of tons of pasta salad ideas, but I think this was the best.Sorry, rambling! <3

well, to put 5 things togehter isn´t a lot of work. for me it´s very important to make something healthy and fresh for my family. stuff like this bottle dressing and on are full of glutamat....
we sure have here some lazy peoples too, of curse! but be don´t have that lot of fast food crap here.
I agree, it would be simple to have made that dressing. Sometimes I use things that are convenient to save a little time. I like to keep my videos short. Thanks for the suggestion and I will keep this in mind for future videos.
you do an amazing job and there is nothing wrong with using a bottled dressing. i really don't see why people are making such a big deal out of the bottled dressing.
Because 90% of the ingredients in a bottled dressing have nothing to do with dressing. They are mainly chemicals for color, texture and conservation. It take 5 minutes to make one. Avoiding to eat chemicals worth the 5 minutes wasted to prepare my own dressing.
If you have a gas stove, you can also turn the gas stove on low and cut your onions near the stove. So the gas from the stove will burn up the gas let out from the onion when cutting. It works well, i never cry when i cut onions this way.
i have a quick tip for you i noticed that your cutting board was slipping on you if you put a wet paper towel or a wet wash cloth underneath the cutting board it wont slide
woah Ive been making this exact pasta salad for years only I used that spiraly tri colored pasta...tortellini sounds sooo much better though thanks for the idea!!!
Oh and I also add mozza chesse that I cube up. Delish!
Its so weird to see you make this recipe since ive been making this the same way for so long haha
put a damp paper towel under your board so you dont chop off your fingers =] and if you use the back of your knife to scrape you add a lot of life to your blade =] just some tips love what youre doing =] <3
I love you recipes! they are so creative and easy to make!
One constructive criticism however, you seem kinda lifeless in your videos. like blah no personality. liven it up a bit! your bloopers you seemed so much more funny !
She's right. Viewers love watching bloopers! Btw thnx for your egg slicer tip a few videos back. I used it on strawberries and it worked out great! What a time saver!
I love your kitchen. I am obsessed with kitchens that have plenty of counter space since living in my tiny townhouse at college where there was about a square foot of counter space.
This is pretty much my pasta salad I make only instead of colored spiral pasta you use tortellini. I use a pesto sauce though and sometimes add chunks of ham
This looks delicious! I pinned it to my Pinterest board!

Hi,
this is a great tasting and easy to make salad recipe!
If it's inhouse, just add the dressing and ingredients while the Pasta is still warm
and it will soak up the flavors very quick, a slice of french baguette with it for me...
you seem to be a little stressed out on this one, must be the olives slicing ;-)
I think i'll just slice 'em with a knife or buy already chopped ones ;-))
thank you for inspiration! Subscribed

in general it's better to do a pasta salad with normal pasta, better if it's penne or fusilli.
Fresh pasta made with eggs (tagliatelle, ravioli, tortellini etc..)
is made to be cooked and served straight away.

why do you take a dressing from a bottle?
is that cooking?
i guess that´s the american way,right?
for a pasta salad dresseing i use
white balsamico, salt, a tiny bit sugar, fresh pepper and olive oil.
pretty simple, hm?
MiezeKatz0607 2 years ago
some people just don't have the time to do from scratch. just because it's from a bottle, doesn't mean it doesn't taste good. :)
besides, i doubt only americans do this.
