  • I wanted to make a rug out o a bear skin.,,never done anything like this.where can I get a video on how to do it??? Want the claws and head saved too

  • I met Bill Geist last year, really great guy and great taxidermy work!

  • Yeah it might be a weird profession/hobby, but it really is an art form. Because of taxidermists I saw animals at the Chicago natural history museum that I would never been able to see. The man eating tsavo lions were amazing to see in person

  • Nope. Chuck Testa.

  • most hunters are people who like to be in the woods. as a kid i used to "hunt "rabbits really it was just an excuse to follow footprints in the snow early in the morning. sometimes i just aim and whisper "bang" then sneak closer and closer until they took off. I just wanted t see animals up close...I'ts hard to get close enough to really see a lynx or wolf, and taxidermy is better than any picture or video. in effect it immortalizes a creature to be viewed in awe by generations to come.

  • They were perfect when they were alive!!!

  • I also have a severe phobia of taxidermy animals. I know this is an art form but...it freaks me out as well...I working on not being freaked out as much by viewing these videos...avoidence just makes the fear bigger... I never met any1 else with this phobia b4 good to know that I'm not alone (or a freak). Hope ur doing ok on ur phobia Project Endgame.

  • I have a severe phobia of taxidermy animals. I have no hatred of any of it and I understand it's art, but there's something about a dead animal up on a wall or posed. It just freaks me out.

  • hey would a taxidermy be able to make me a coyote blanket?

  • @420JohnnieBoi

I'm a taxidermist.. Anyone could make a coyote blanket. you just have to sew the pelts together. But sending your pelts to a seamtress is the best idea for a proffessional looking product.

  • lol go to walmart and get a teddybear lol funny guy we can do your grandma and put a cat in her lap lmao

  • Can there be any doubt that this man, Bill Geist, has the most annoying, irritating voice on television? Sounds like he's holding his nose when he talks.

  • Jupitermoon10011, today's worst person in the world!!!

  • @despondentisthmus Shut the F up. You know he's annoying ;-)

  • @jupitermoon10011 Yeah well get over it. He talks like a nasally little geek.

  • Awesome!

  • Rest in Peace Al Holmes Master Taxidermist April 13,2010.

  • elephants would take forever!

  • awesome work

  • Sickos...-___-

  • i hope to be good enouph to compete in something like this one day! that is awsome work

  • that is really amazing! i never knew that they mounted elephants! talkin about making some room there. haha

  • Gee, what a surprise, a bunch of namby pamby tree hugging animal rights idiots on here!

You people problems with hunting and taxidermy but have no issues buying shoes or clothes made from the skin of an animal (which by the way are usually made by children in sweat shops). You people are the perfect example of hypocrites!

  • @bearman9992001 amen! my cousin is really against me hunting but she doesn't and its really annoying to hear her nag about it. people dont understand that hunting helps the environment and is a conservation effort.

  • I look at animals all the time and say to myself, "Boy I'd love to mount that!"

  • @gardogg65

    Me 2!!!

  • poor animals

  • man.....

    animals: 10

    humans: 0

  • I use to hate taxidermy untill I started to read about it. the taxidermists i came across really did care about the animals more so then the bullshit animal rights actvists. They get most of thier animals from those that died of natural causes. Even though I do like taxidermy and view it as an art I still get upset when I see wolves and lynxs up there.

  • @windwolf647 me too. i AM an animal rights person but atleast i can see these animals died of natural causes. and even i think the recreation process is amazing. i mean heck if people think this is bad they should search how most of us get meat on our tables. THAT'S crewl.i not a vegitarian or anything, not that i've got anything against them. these animals had normal lives. some of their bodies are even being used to TEACH!

  • @windwolf647 do your home work b4 you speak. wolfs? why do you hate it?

  • i am teriffied of taxidermy, i have no idea why im watching this;

  • now that's a big turtle yo

  • I like taxidermy.... but not on land animals. I just like stuffed bass or shark or something.

  • it reminds me of me old aunt maude.... she had two pygmy monkeys as pets for years...one died and within a week the other had fretted and also died... she was heartbroken and so she took them along to the local taxidermist...he looked them over and then said "when ive finished do you want them mounting together" "no"aunt maude said "just holding hands will do"

  • ew. i would go for the live animal walks.

  • itz a art i juz luv it

  • Taxidermy can a beautiful thing, but when I think that the same thing done to a human (which to me seems really creepy), I can't support it 100%.

  • Most people think its soo disgusting and wrong. My personal opinion is thats its magnificent! A hole new perspective of art, nevertheless its a job that's available everywhere!!

  • @F0rS4k3NW01F it is truly an art

  • Cooool. The last part reminded me of planet of the apes.

  • if this wasn't spammed I'd give it a plus :3

  • I agree. Its wrong killing these beautiful, majestc and rare, (seeing the Timberwolf and Cougar really got me)animals for the purpose of STUFFING. This one yeehaww said the animal is more beautiful now then it was alive.whats that shit? yeah that plastic glazed look in the eye really adds beauty.I like the look of a dead carcass hanging on my wall. disgusting "art" this is art and not a crime?.yet the guy bombing a burner on a wall beautifying his inner city neighborhood is a criminal right??

  • They do not need to be killed to be mounted. An animal that died of natural causes can be mounted just as well as one that was hunted. Yes, it is an art form in my opinion. Maybe you do not understand the amount of effort and skill it takes to do this kind of work. A crime? I'm not even going to get into that argument. And your analogy about graffiti is terrible. You can not compare someone mounting an animal they hunted legally and someone who defaces someone else property. Apples to oranges.

  • Disgusting that they di it. But even worse they have competition

  • Animal carcasses on the wall?
