i cant wait till i get in local 40's apprenctice program to work with my pops. Is ironwork on a bridge different from a building?? im doing non union on a bridge and i find its alot of rigging, unlike a building where u have cranes for all the steel. its also the biggest bridge repair contract ever in canada. so i guess its alrite for my first iron job.
I had the chance to work with Jimmy at the Staten Island Ferry , sorry to say he did pass away . He work for Transcontinental Steel out of Local 40 in NYC... Great man ..God Bless Him .
I'm going to a trade school to become a an electrical technician is it a bad thing to start off in a trade being 30 years old i kinda felt some way when he said no one on his crew was over the age of 30 lol
fckn a brother , some of the stories this guy could tell . lol wouldnt you like a desk job instead ? FUCK NO ! BITCH . does it look like i want to shave . long live the IRONWORKER
last waeek I was talking an Ironworker who we all worked on the brooklyn br I did not see him for a few years . Sadly he told me Jimmy Died a while ago .
I work with jimmy in 91 to about 93 on the brooklyn br. We called him the Bear . what a pisser . He also deliverd a few babies ,stopped a few jumpers and a lot more things too long to list . I hav'nt seen him in a few years so I guess he is retired and hunting in Pa .
I climbed the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge main cables. I would love to work on bridges every day.

You can't build Ameica talking to a camera crew. Just kidding, nice to see the trade get a little good coverage no matter how dated.
