@chevlumina - There are several F1s that have changed hands half a dozen times. Very few of the cars are still with their original owners. Some people just want the experience for a while, then decide to move on to something else, whether it be another car or some other interest. With the rise in values of the F1s in recent years some owners have even managed a healthy profit after owning one for just a few short years.

For people who didn't know, the engine compartiment was gold (real gold) platted to make the heat exchange with the exterior better and the engine cooling better... Because gold is a better conducting metal than steel or iron...

@Tokyuuu - A significant number of F1s have been refitted by the factory to suit a new owner's tastes. Some cars have been redone multiple times.

This car is actually one of the survivors - having remained as it was built for over 16 years, however there are a few small areas of the car that are starting to show their age like certain sections of the leather in the interior.

@brannyK051 - The signature reads "Andretti" as this car was first owned by Michael Andretti.

It was part of his compensation package from when he raced for McLaren in Formula One in 1993. The badge was definitely an aftermarket addition, and you are correct that no other F1 has anything like that. I have a strong feeling it was added to the car by the Japanese owner who followed Michael Andretti.

Michael's full signature does appear on the back side of the sun visor inside the car as well.

The Veyron is just a big hulking 16 cylinder, 8 liter, quad turbo, AWD, 7 speed double clutch automatic, monster, that only manages 10 MPH faster. It also has 1 less seat, less storage, less ride height and comfort, 1,650 lbs more weight, less exclusivity, and less fun with all those power assists, AWD, and driver assists. So the F1 is more practical and more fun and all that from a 20 Year old car too.

Every single other one Veyron, Koenigsegg, S7, XJ220, Ultimate Aero needs an aspiration conversion. If you put a twin turbo kit on a F1 I have no doubt that it would beat all of these, though no one would be that obtuse and ruin the great car Gordon Murry created.

While the F1 has better ground clearance with suspension similar to a Honda NSX known for its comfort, and if I was buying a million or so dollar car id want it to be slightly practical and not sit in a garage. On exclusivity, Bugatti produced around 400 Veyrons, Mclaren only 106 only 64 of those actual road cars like this one. Every rapper who thinks they know something about cars owns one

The Bugatti Veyron is just a car to show a company which builts lame and ordinary cars (VW) can make cars which have 1000 hp.

The McLaren F1 was a car to get the technology of Formula 1 (which was nearly totally dominated by McLaren the years before) onto public roads.
