  • simple question, If some2 goin 2 own a watch, wat he/she shud see while purchasing ?

    Design ?

    that it is chronograhic ?

    quartz ?

or that if it is telling the right time :D ?

Don't you think that watches has become a status / show off symbol nowdays & not just a timekeeping device. Mobile in pocket terminated the need of keeping watches ?

    please reply @ synthspike

  • Excellent vid mate, thanks.

  • USEFULL

  • Quartz always keeps accurate time..the next thing would be atomic watches which....you prob shouldn't have on your hand.

  • @2fast4uspartan There are watches that are sometimes referred to as atomic. They remain highly accurate by receiving a radio signal to synchronize their time to an atomic clock. In North America most of these types of watches can receive a signal of the US Government atomic clock in Colorado. Casio Waveceptor series is one such clock.

  • You still have to wind a automatic watch. Many people believe you never have to wind them. You may not have to wind as often as a purely mechanical watch, but you still have to wind up the main spring.

  • @shaokem It helps an automatic watch to reach full wind if you also manually wind it. But some automatic movements are certainly efficient enough to reach full wind all on their own just using the auto wind. Many do not even have a manual wind feature.

  • @shaokem This is only true if you have stored the watch for so long, the watch has completely run down. Then you need to manually wind. But if you wear the watch every day or keep it on a winder, then there is no need to manually wind.

  • nothing beats quartz

  • @zillsburyy - "nothing beats quartz" - Many people have this opinion. Quartz has some strong advantages. But not everyone agrees.

  • @Synthspike rule no.1 quartz is cheap & will never look good...maybe if ur 15yo is cool...up to 20 maybe still cos maybe u cant afford it... but the quality in not in a 1980 casio is in a person who understands/sees the watch as a work of art...100 years of craftsmen ship & dedication... is like with cars... u don't buy a ferrari or a Lamborghini cos they r reliable nor efficient!!!! do u... ??? lol!!!! erm...am i talking to a woman??

btw i include those who buy fake rolex as well... loosers!

  • @Andrewolf79 what do you mean up to 20.... iunno what kinda 20 year olds you run around with... but i'm 21 and the only losers I see around my age from school are people with 10 grand rolexes because daddy and mommy know how to spoil them... not even many can make enough money to pay their own tuition let alone try to buy expensive ass watches and ferrari's and lamborghini's.... what kinda fantasy world do you live in....

  • @teamofreally exactly my point... losers with rolex... lambos or cheap ferraris... all say one thing, i have the money but i know nothing of what i'm buying...or being bought... so tell me what do u wear?

  • @Synthspike Ugh mechanical watch please. Quartz watches are good at keeping time but are pretty lame.

  • @Wilson1592 Yeah - great timekeepers, but still lame. I want a WATCH, not a d----d computer!

  • @Synthspike very true... but tell me practically... what advantage u r referring to in a day to day life... where the watch on ur wrist defines ur appreciation & understanding of craftsmanship in a peace of art... and your mobile in the pocket the precision of a digital cheap watch!!!?? is like wearing and expensive suite with cheap shoes!! (trainers..lol..)

  • @zillsburyy automatic last forever so i disagree

  • @zillsburyy how can u say that??- the true qualty comes from the automatic for sure, its handmade and dont have the annoying quartz battery which needed been changed. the automatic last 4 ever.

  • @MrChuckbass92 have you EVER owned anything besides a 99 cent digital watch. i think not. i have had all types. my automatic watches have always been a little off. usually being a few minutes fast. of course they are more elegant and hold more value in "quality" but if you put the watch down for a few days and dont wear it, guess what. IT STOPS and you have to wind it and keep it moving at least 10 hours a day to keep it wound. also, automatic watches are very thick because of whats inside.

  • @zillsburyy1 well yes sir i have actually own anything besides a 99 cent watch and if you would have real experience with watches you would now that the right way to go is by automatic ,and so what if u have to wind it-íts still more natural plus you need to define the word "thick" as the history of ur watch collektion ....

  • @zillsburyy1 same thing can be sad for stupid people but we still keep them in society ... no??? lol... ( at least a watch has value!! )

  • great video, short informative and to the point. i like it.

  • Left to Right:

ESQ Tournament, Oris TT1 Day/Date, and Baume & Mercier Classima Executive 8735.

  • What are the names of these watches? Thanks

  • That was a good review

  • Automatic watches have a clutch that prevents overwinding.

  • I ment to say without worrying it will overwind or damage.

  • Can I wind a automatic watch with worrying the mainspring will break.
