It simply means God isn't confined to linear forward time as we are. His perspective allows Him to see all directions from all angles. And yes He is experiencing time right now since His spirit is living and dwelling in the lives of His people. Nice try with your mind game.
So god "sees" the begining and the end, right? So if thats the case god knew of "original sin" . God knew before hand that man would fail. "Im a the alpha and omega" jesus supposedly said..Soooo why then would god prolong his plans ,causing thousands of years of world suffering? Kudos to ghe young man who made tbis passive aggressive moron.
For years and years , I went to the Church , I read the Bible for 20 years and the last 5 years my Faith was slow down to the dark side of the "doubt" and stop to go to the church and read de Bible ...today watching your videos a small flame of Hope and Faith born again ...(my English is not enough to understand all a word you say , but I got it your message 90 % ) Thanks , I don't know who you are , or if you work for a Church or Organization ...but something in your explanation help me.
For the intro, chuck out free will. I constantly see this juggling act that involves false autonomy. God hardens the hearts of people AND He holds them accountable. Who are you to raise an objection fallen sinner?
I love these videos more than I can explain! I am a Christian you tuber looking for more Christian youtuber friends. Not trying to spam. I would just love to have a Christian friend base here on youtube. Please add me if you are Christian and want to share videos!
I guess there are even questions Cliffe cannot answer because this kid made some great arguments and Cliffe didn't know how to answer them....but probably this was one of the hardest topics and best thought out argument I have heard...too bad Cliffe didn't know more on these topics of time...
@BenTeer1 I disagree. Cliffe told the student that no one can understand the concept of "time" and how it relates to God. It is beyond understanding or even learning. It has nothing to do with how much Cliffe "knows''. You can't expect Cliffe or anyone for that matter to explain it. The student raised great points but ultimately how can you explain something outside of knowledge?
Well done Cliffe. I really enjoy this young atheist philosopher and I will explore his point further about "God's experience of time" i feel it is a very valid argument. Cliffe handled it well and assuming the by the way Cliffe spoke he had not experienced this line of thought either.
@TheRedEleven What sucks is these kids aren't morons, the real problem is they are very smart. They've been given a little bit of knowledge from one liberal view point without hearing the opposing views. In a way Its kind of like the concept of statistics dont lie but liers use statistics. I can convince someone that Socialism is good if I use a small country with a frigid climate like Sweden as my only example.
@TheRedEleven Harsh though I agree there is a definite whiff of intellectual smugness in his arguments.
I thought his explanation for free will as being only due to a cascade of other causes was pretty ordinary. Sure his lecturer set an assignment because he is employed by the university, but he still got to choose the wording of questions. Cliff could have hammered him on this but he let him get away unscathed.
I accept the first argument(age of responsibility) in Cliffes favour. The next point(god outside of time) Cliffe clearly has difficulty following the reasoning so no advantage. The final point( Determinism) Cliffe bails out and recites some conversion anecdotes. I fail to see how that is relevant to the idea that if we can observe for example gravity and its effects, the same observation and prediction can't be made of more complex systems eg ultimately humans.
I think regarding God's perspective outside of time, a more fitting view would be that God knows every possibility throughout human history for every type of choice available for all creation. That's how big God is. And God knows that possibility and future and intricacies and ripples of what would happen if I marry this person, or I decide to make a wrong choice, etc versus, making the right choice and living under God's will.
@Siscast I like his view outside of time, it makes more sense. He created the Universe (a physical system), time is a variable of that system he created. We are inside the universe, he is outside. Makes perfect sense from a standpoint of Math / Physics.
"When a person refuses to come to Christ it is never just because of lack of evidence or because of intellectual difficulties: at root, he refuses to come because he willingly ignores and rejects the drawing of God's Spirit on his heart. No one in the final analysis really fails to become a Christian because of lack of arguments; he fails to become a Christian because he loves darkness rather than light and wants nothing to do with God." WLC"
I'm still watching the video here... This student has simply made a decision in his heart to reject The Lord, and is simply trying to "stump" Brother Cliffe. Brother Cliffe was nice enough to speak with this gentleman as long as he has been.
Yes, "poor kid"... Indoctrinated by silly open-mindedness which essentially leads to mindless, useless, irrational and illogical thinking. He thinks by demonstrating how incomprehensible God is will ultimately refute His existence. Sad, wow.
This poor kid pretty much admits be believes in no God not because it is rational but because he has been determined to believe in no God then believes in he is somehow rational enough to understand that, he is stuck in a self refuting loop of illogic.

No Democrat could ever win an election if Colleges didn't crank out a steady stream of insufferable morons like the kid in this video...

Read "Thales to Dewey" by Gordon Clark to peel past all these idiot philosophers of a span of 2600 years of history.
