I totally agree. Working in a convenience-store, I feel bad about how much plastic, essentially, we sell and put out there. I think it IS the companies and (ALL) governments responsibility. It is really sad. One time one of my science teachers showed a movie about a whale who died because it had trash in it's stomach. I wish we could do something about it. One thing we could do is encourage people to recycle and not to litter. But a lot of stuff dumped in land fills ends up in the ocean especially with countries that don't have a lot of land and ships also dump trash into the ocean because they don't have any where else to put it.
