i'm trying hard to imagine the fourth dimension, how the hell is it possible?? this video is great but i need it longer so that it can melt in better..
and yes, carl sagan takes up the subject in the cosmos series (that everybody ought to see!!)
I use Blender, a free 3d raytracer. I used python script to properly project four dimensional objects onto the 3d space provided by Blender. I can try to give better explanations, but it usually takes a very long-winded explanation if you're new to 4d objects. There are many sites that explain tetraspace and tesseracts very well.
That's not right...
I think I just saw a couple of hot polygons making out!

THAT SERIOUSLY JUST KILLED MY BRAIN. =D and now it's alive again...
zackpots 2 years ago
sooo..... which way is it rotating? left, or right? or up or down?
Mrules4ever 2 years ago
left and in the four-dimensional upwards direction
xam714 2 years ago
It's actually rotating in neither. And its actually rotating in all...
mattyhulla 2 years ago
It rotates in four dimensions. Rotates in axises y, x, z, w.

I dont understand this vid. What ir a "W" axis? o_O
URIZHEY 2 years ago
The fourth one.
Mewpwnz 2 years ago
how do people know how the w axis moves to make an animation of it? people are verry smart. VERY SMART.
zackpots 2 years ago 5
so wait is it moving or rotating or what
spartan5397 2 years ago
a tesseract is 4d, and this is a 3d shadow of that 4d object. when the 4d object rotates, this is what the shadow looks like.
schmoogleman 2 years ago
It's only rotating. In 4 axes. Look at a 3D cube with lines only (aka transparent) and see how the lines move through each other still.
Mewpwnz 2 years ago
OMG!!!!!! I finnaly get it now! thanks a lot, man!
I looked at a video of a transparent rotating 3D cube, and it looked like it was going inside itself! it all makes sense now.
Mrules4ever 2 years ago
wait what is that moving or rotating of what ARGH
soo cunfuzzling

Looking at those things is annoying ;)

amazing.
Being stuck in the 3rd dimension can be infuriating.

nice video. i think i'm ready to plucked into the 4D world now, i'm just waiting for A Hypersphere to come along (ever seen/read "Flatland"?).

This one's even better, perhaps...mad props!

Great videos! Would be even better if they looped for longer time.
hanko2001 4 years ago
Thanks! I'm planning on making a video compiling all 6 possible plane rotations, perhaps a minute long of each rotation. I'm open to suggestions.
throughthedoors 4 years ago
Can you give explanations? I think longer time is better; people get absorbed by staring. What software do you use?
