Matthew 25:41 He gives everyone a CHOICE, Repent (turn away from your sin) & Follow Him or Reject Him & your Eternity will be in The Lake of Fire. People make their own decisions. @JonaUCLAN1 Pretty sure once a soul is created it's there forever. A soul can never really "die", but they can suffer in torment forever. Look at it this way... those who follow the law are able to live free. Those who go against it, are locked away forever. Same with hell, and heaven. Heaven your soul'll be free... hell there's no way out.

@antipoti Sure there are a lot of things in the Bible that don't make sense to us, but the Lord has many ways of reaching out to people, so that story may be of significance to someone whereas the parable of the prodigal son was a revelation for me. All I'm saying is that you give Christianity a try. @HighCardWins God answers the prayers of many. I know several people that have been addicted to drugs and or alcohol and time and time again have relied on doctors and their treatment centers to stay sober. When all hope has failed them, one single prayer has done the work that man and science failed to do. This is only one example of prayer working.
Their problem was a psychological one, the idea of God helping them was that extra motivation they needed to get them over the hurdle. Still, that's no miracle. In those cases the act of praying might have helped them, but it's nothing supernatural. It helped them within their own mind to focus on getting better. It was still up to them to get better.

There are religions far older than Christianity, why would you choose one that has came along late in the history of religions to believe in?
If you want to take a chance on religion, how about following the first religion, not one in the middle of the list. The first religions were pagan. The Egyptians came up with the concept of one god first, the Jews borrowed that idea from them.

I think you've missed my point. If you study religious history, you can see that Christianity borrowers a lot of the same stories from older religions. The Flood story, a savior born of a virgin, etc. Why do you trust a religion that has the exact same stories of other religions but is younger? Christianity is not the originator of any of that.

Its prety messed up that God let those babies die in Egypt. I was wondering if maybe God gave the egyptians a warning also. I don't think babies who are cut short of life from a certain disease go to hell, thats just wrong.

Look at it this way... those who follow the law are able to live free. Those who go against it, are locked away forever. Same with hell, and heaven. @antipoti Sure there are a lot of things in the Bible that don't make sense to us, but the Lord has many ways of reaching out to people, so that story may be of significance to someone whereas the parable of the prodigal son was a revelation for me. All I'm saying is that you give Christianity a try. I don't want to see you suffer in Hell one day so that's why Christians keep hounding atheists to convert because we want you to feel the happiness & love that we feel.

@antipoti God is testing their obedience. The blood is symbolic of the Blood of Jesus Christ who is the Lamb of God. Through out history God has given us instructions, for us to follow (obey). Much like a parent: Don't do drugs, because if you do, you may go to jail or die. Do children listen???? Some do, some don't. Adam & Eve's sin - disobedience. He told them not to eat the fruit from ONE tree from the thousands that were there. They finally gave in to temptation.

@antipoti It's call OBEDIENCE. God was symbolic showing them that shed blood would save them. God knows everyones heart. He knows who believes & who doesn't. The Blood Sacrifice of Jesus Christ is what paves the way for all to come to Him, accept Him, believe in Him, repent of their sins (turn away from them), then you'll go to Heaven. It's the free gift of salvation & forgiveness. It's only a horrible story to someone who doesn't want God in their life.

That's where you're wrong. Evolution can be proven and has been, but you would have to understand exactly what the theory states. You have some major misconceptions of evolutionary theory as do many creationists.

I know several people that have been addicted to drugs and or alcohol and time and time again have relied on doctors and their treatment centers to stay sober. Their problem was a psychological one, the idea of God helping them was that extra motivation they needed to get them over the hurdle. Still, that's no miracle. In those cases the act of praying might have helped them, but it's nothing supernatural. It helped them within their own mind to focus on getting better. It was still up to them to get better.

If you want to take a chance on religion, how about following the first religion, not one in the middle of the list. The first religions were pagan. The Egyptians came up with the concept of one god first, the Jews borrowed that idea from them.
I try to let people know that this is a lie used to scare them in following nonsense. That's my reason.

The Flood story, a savior born of a virgin, etc. Why do you trust a religion that has the exact same stories of other religions but is younger? Christianity is not the originator of any of that.

Hell is a vile, abusive, disgusting concept. God buys love & loyalty with torture? A Gandhi, Teresa, Mandela would never think of torturing their enemies, whereas a Saddam, Hitler, Stalin would. So ALL of the Egyptians suffered horribly because of the hardened, unyielding heart of but ONE man. Even as a Christian - I find it hard - no - make that impossible - to understand all of this. Stories like this are a great thorn in the side of my faith.

yes ive heard that alot, but heres the way i see it. God knows all things (or so ive been taught) and yet he put the tree of Knowledge IN THE HEART OF THE GARDEN OF EDEN knowing fully well what would happen if he did so, and when it did happen he cursed not just Adam and Eve but ALL of humanity. The trouble is that too many people are quick to judge an they just cannot get past their own pre-defined version of what they think God is and lump it all together with religion...thats not good!
I really wish more people would open up their eyes to what is really out there and leave their own prejudices at the back door. As for me I didn't always believe but after studying the bible, politics, and science for two years there is only one conclusion...God is real.

Christians can never be perfect...in fact no man who as ever walked this earth can, except one - Jesus Christ.
If it were possible for man to be perfect then Jesus Christ died on the cross for nothing. When a person finally grasps the fact that God (Jesus Christ) is real and religion is fake and that they are being decieved and that almost everything this world has to offer is based on lies - then that person usually puts their trust and faith in Jesus Christ.

Putting your faith in Christ is not easy an very few make it. Its not about changing your ways by your own strengths but by recognizing that you have sinned against God and that you can never be perfect by your own efforts.
When someone truly believes, studies the bible then God does the work in you - which is supernatural and not down to your own efforts.
Thats how you know a real Christian from a fake one.

to live life is to believe if creation is from this creator whom claims he created all. the mind of this creator was about good and light and if they have to come from sins all the better. think about the mind of a god, so if you understand if you had to know. the unknown god is not that hard to believe in fact, and I found him to be quite easy to relize. Just to be honest its pretty obvious and not that big of a deal. just the 7 seals would bring a new age though.

people become athiests because people who claim they know the straight answer try to teach it as truth. it doesnt matter where hell is,when it starts and stops, you the story of Jesus Christ is what matters. people need to realize that nothing else is matters! Rarely do you hear a Christian say I dont know. They think they always have to have an answer,even for stuff they were never meant to know. Its sad how many fellow Christians I've seen scare people away..
