his '59 had a pickguard. and it was a plain top IIRC

...one of the reason I put it up right after the show was thinking something BIG was going on besides playing a Little Walter cover from the upcoming new album. IF it is, I guess he may have been in the trial phase since he didn't say it was his "First night with 9-0829.... this guitar is gonna change my life.. It was Epic... Such an inspiration." until 12 days later. So, might not be THE '59?

@ShaggyDawg No this is a 59' Reissue he calls "Gary Moore" because they reversed the coils on the neck pickup to get the in and out of phase sound much like Gary Moore and Peter Green Did.
