Loved the caribou, especially the sound of those PW? radials. Fantastic to see a meteor and a canberra still flying! In the late 40s I used to watch meteors from RAF Halton Camp Bucks. Thanks for sharing.
My Grandparents lived at Richmond for many years. I used to sit outside and watch the Caribou and Hercs fly around. I reckon Caribou have an awesome sound.
That's the "blue note". It's the sound of air flowing over the cannon ports at high speed, just like blowing over the top of a bottle multiplied by about a million :)
Did a tailgate jump from a C7A with the 82nd Airborne in '81 at a 5th SFG sponsored jump at Ft. Bragg. It was a blast.

We are looking at a replacement project (Air8000 Phase 2) now. Nothing will have the STOl capability of the 'Bou' though.

wow, that caribou took off in an amazingly short distance! unusual engine noise on the meteor too, nice.
