may i know, what is the model of the stealth type valkayrie? awesome collection you have there, wish i had a nice collection like this too, but it is kinda expensive
Hey Nice collection! Enjoyed looking at them. I haven't seen some of those before specifically the Zenraedi battle armour. Where did you get the Miriya and Max's Battlesuit armour on the bottom shelf. They look fantastic!
Do you have the "1/72 VF-1S Valkyrie" model? And if you do have it, do you recommend me getting it? I watched recently Macross and I would love to get one of this model kits, do you know any web site I can get more Macross models?
@Agcsantos The only 1/72 Valkyries I have are a couple of VF-25s from Macross Frontier, I don't have any VF-1s on that scale. There are a couple of places where I get my mechas: HobbyLink Japan, OverDrive, and Hobby Search. I have had good experiences with these online stores. I hope this helps!
LoL, funny you ask because mine is actually leaning on the GBP. She does have a hard time standing on her own, that's why she comes with a clear stand (which I don't like).
@eckergus yeah the clear stand is a little small for her feet and the clamp is damaging her leg a little (though I still opted to use it). Also used some BluTack to keep her foot on the base.
Yamato's new line of 1/60 Valks is great, that is, the line of new 1/60 Valks from Super Dimensional Fortress Macross. However, the first release of 1/60 Valks from Macross Zero are known to be flimsy. Some of the these Valks (mainly the VF-0S and VF-0A) had issues with the shoulders braking. But, supposedly Yamato resolved this issue in the second release of the VF-0S (the one including the Ghost). I personally recommend any new (SDF) 1/60 Valk. You might be taking chances with the VF-0S.
hey bro was wondering the ifff you have the 1/60 vf-11b with supers pack an if so can make videos showing this beautiful collectible THANKS and you have an absolutely brilliant collection bro
Thanks for your compliment, man. I currently do not own any 1/60 Valks from Macross Plus. The only figures I have from that show are the five Yamato GN-U-DOU possable figures. Maybe I'll do a brief clip with these.
thanks for the info! nice collection man....my bro and i are toy collectors and have always been macross fans and now we are thinking about building up on our macross collection xD!
Yes, the 1/60 Valkyries (the VF-1A, 1J, 1S, 1D) are made by Yamato and are a bit smaller than Bandai's DX Chogoking 1/60 Messiah Valkyries (VF-25F, 25S). XD
I got a quick question here regarding the GBP Armor Parts for 1/48 VF-1. Are the chest missile covers (the yellow ones on the Urban Camo and red ones the the regular version) removable? I mean removable without any technical removal of parts/pins/hinges or breaking it?
As a Max-only collector (yeah VFs are really expensive), I'm kinda thinking that I owe myself making a non-canon Armored Max VF and a repaint (of the chest covers at least) is the only chance I got.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but no. The missile covers of the GBP Armor Parts for 1/48 VF-1 can be open to reveal the missiles but they can't be removed (unless you venture to put the chest section apart with a screwdriver).
I hear what you say, Valkyries are NOT cheap. I myself have dedicated to collect Max's & Hikaru's Mecha. There are a tone of other Valks I would love to have, but for now I'm focusing on getting Max's & Hikaru's Fighter before anything else. I'm with you on that one.
I went to hobby store and bought black paint and some thinner. I dissolved the black paint with the thinner and made it pretty thin. Then, using a cute-tip, I pretty sparingly applied the paint on the surface of the Valk. I gave the paint about a minute to semi-dry, then, using a piece of cloth with some thinner I removed the excess... it's pretty simple, it just takes some time to make look like it is "real soot."
oh what serious are they i got the miria a few days ago and i love it i actually reviewed it :) if you have the ones with the fast packs could you review it cause i want to know if its worth the money for the packs
That's a pretty cool review man. I tried leaving you a comment but it wouldn't let me for some reason. The packs a pretty cool... if you would like to get them I would say you should... they're not expensive and do add to the look of the Valk. What I don't like about this Valks is that they joint tend to break pretty easily and can be a bit of a pain to pose when the joints get loose.
Wholy cow! I can't believe how many grammatical errors I made on my last comment. Anyhow, I just wanted to add that you're lucky to have that Valk, Miria's VF-1J is pretty hard to find... especially now.
i suck at typing to lol i really didnt know that that valk was rare i live in miami and i got it at a store that sells some anime stuff and they had like three of each valk from series 1 and 2 and i see it all the time on ebay which series did you get 1 or 4 when they come with the fast packs? but the joints are exactly the same as the polycaps for gundam kits and they cracked on mine and the stickers are crappy so i had to use decals from my MG exia
That's nice that you have a hobby store around where you can get this type of stuff. I buy most of my stuff directly from Japan. The 1/100 Miria Valk can be hard to find and usually very overpriced. I haven't seen it offered on eBay in long time.
To tell you the truth, I don't remember what series the two 1/100 I have are... I bought them long long time ago.
i wish i had a hobby store that sold that kind of stuff the store i told you about has a tiny corner with the worst gundam and anime chracters you could think of like shit no one else wants i usually now just go on ebay for the best deals and the miria valk cost me $31 it was worth it for me but for any one else that would be bullshit especially that i jhave to fork out another 15 for the fast pack and any other store that might have anime is super over-priced and crappy its so frustrating
See, that's over priced right there. You paid $31 for that figure, when originally you could find them for $14 (even $12) each on eBay. The original retail price for these 1/100 Valks was $20, but there were always guys on eBay with good deals. Anyways, you still did pretty good considering how difficult it is to find Miria's Valk today. One time I saw that same Valk on eBay in auction for $45!
holy shit thats fucking insane i see those to but they come with the fast packs! on ebay the DYRL vf-1a are like 20 dollers but when i saw it in real life i just had to have it cause 25 to have it cheaper of 30 to have it now you know what i mean and ive been dieing to get any kind of valk since i finished SDf macross and theres no way in hell i can afford a yamato i hope when my birthday comes around i can get one if i get money but they look kinda plain to me now without the fast packs.
i have seen the valks that are like 11 or 12 but they are all series one DYRL valks and i dont really want to risk wasting my money on a crappy fall apart valk plus i dont really like the head sculpt of the VF-1S on the toynami i plan to get the brown cannon fodder valk that comes with the fast packs next i just hope they release the armored parts those would look sooo sweet on milias valk :)
Yes, I preordered it at HobbyLink but hasn't arrived yet. They just shipped it last night from Japan. I should be getting by Friday/Saturday... although I am going to be away for the weekend and probably won't get to see it until next Tuesday.
Thanks! I thought the 51s would look ok with the wings folded up since that's how they are stored in the OVA. Wizartar(dot)com is looking great! Keep it up!
