  • Hi,,,, wow i cant belive i found a video about this book. i read it when 16 yrs. old;;LOL peace xoxoxxo

  • Hi, thank you for this (-:

    Tom Robbins is so insightful.

  • here's a TR poem for you from the book : HOME MEDICINE ------------------------ Last Night we attempted a lint transplant but her navel rejected it.
  • the reading TR stuff is great idea .

i suggest you get Wild Ducks Flying Backward ( the short writings of Tom Robbins) .

lots of GREAT short works ... Travel Articles ( Tom talks about traveling to the Canyon of the Vagina's , among other places ) , Tributes ( see Tom gush over the doors , jennifer jason leigh , leonard cohen and , of course , redheads ) , poems and lyrics , musings and critiques and also some responses to questions he's gotten .

perfect stuff for you to read to the peeps !

  • dangit! i don't remember the turnips reference! i'm tempted to re-read the book AGAIN to find it.... i'm realizing it's impossible to have a favorite of his- i guess i gauge it by the strongest 'awakening' i reach....

  • I was refferring the first book 'I ever' readfrom him called 'Still Life with wWodpecker' unless I am mistaken, thats where the king /hero meets the princess/heroin in another lifetime, turnips are mentioned in this scene before the fireheaded terrorist and his love meet on the plane.

  • Can you sing?...I bet you can...

Oh, yah, the ice cream was good but I liked listening to you in the background. It was interesting. ~Raven

  • I'll have to check out some of his books. I love discovering new writers annd he seems like he might be really good.

  • SWEET! I was HOPING he would pique SOMEone's interest... he IS really good- WELL worth the time & effort reading. A "cosmic comic" for sure. =)

who're some of YOUR favorite authors? I have to admit- after I got hooked on him, I have a hard time reading other fiction...

  • I like to read a vast array of stuff, but for fiction I especially like stuff that is metaphysical, sometimes moralistic, sometimes dreamlike. I read through a lot of fantasy in high school, especially Tolkien, probably more comics than I want to admit. A few of my favs are Kafka, Hesse and especailly Haruki Murakami,

  • OK, I have never heard of him...I love reading books...but I just rarely have time...I was sitting here eating ice cream, listening...You have a great voice. ~Raven

  • YAY! I'm glad you enjoyed me reading to you! More to come! Hope you listen!
