  • I can't find his book that he mentions @ 3:17: "Blues Rhythms."

I found a DVD of his titled, "The Art of Blues Rhythm." I also found another DVD of his that comes with a short "Booklet" titled, "Rhythm Blues: REH Book/Audio Pack." But no Book titled, "Blues Rhythms"

  • "Supernatural" ('99) is one the best album I've ever heard. FACT.

  • He's so right. The guitar is a rhythm section instrument first. Being a great comper is much more important than being a great soloist. Most of us spend most of the time laying out or backing up a singer or another soloist...right?!

  • can someone please tell me which is the song that he's playing at the start of this clip?

  • @rapidtranq doh...just found out its called "How Deep In The Blues (Do you want to go) " from the album Truth.

  • Never met Sakashta-san, but feel like I miss him!!!

An amazing craftsman and good player too!!!

  • I've used d'addarios even longer than Robben-he's right, they are incredibly consistent, and high quality

  • The D'Addario pick holder between his teeth, would that have been a custom shop thing...?

  • Don't wait to get in a band is almost as good advise as learning chords. I played for 13 years before joining a band and I've learned more in the last seven vs the first thirteen.

  • @guitarcrazy019 Yeah i totally agree. It's what separates the men from the boys the experience of gigging and performing to people as opposed to aimlessly noodling!!

  • this guitar is called Noupaul made by Taku Sakashta.

he was killed 02/18/10 by Joshua Begley.

Taku was a great builder and a great guy.....

  • @ervinsakashta can i ask why he was killed

  • @spudgun05 the murderer was "angry", allegedly

try his name in Google ;)

  • it seems that Taku was just in the wrong place at the wrong time ..

  • is that a Les Paul Studio hes playing?

  • no, it's some custom guitar that was built for him

  • Alexander "Don't Call Me Howard" Dumble Overdrive Special amp - actually he often has two on stage in case one goes down.

  • Howard Dumble amp?

  • robben's advice.

  • some of those "other" companies occasionally put a square string in there, ya know? ;-) D'addario strings are ALWAYS round.
