  • Thumps up if you are thankfull for being born as christian !

  • and still, Venice keeps raping my towns. While the Pope is angry at me for trying to defend myself and not joining the Crusades

  • the first united nations

  • what's the name of the background track played here?

  • @loyola928 Soundtrack name is Solenka. The ending medieval chants in this cutscene are only about the middle of thse soudntrack.

  • a cross for a battle formation,thats unlikely.

  • Wahts hte soundtrack in the background of the vid?

  • The holy bible may preach peace, but when it is christendom itself that is threadened, then it is every christians' duty to defend all that is holy. His holiness the pope, has called a crusade to reclaim the holy lands from the infidel, who would deny christian pilgtims their right to visit the holy places. It is time for the armies of christendom to unite under one banner, the sign of the cross, and give back god's children what is rightfully theirs...Or die trying.

  • hmmm...yea the crusaders...i dont know how could the muslims defeated all .... Istambul should be ours not in the hands of that god......Allah.

  • I'm muslim, and when I saw the christians army doing a cross I almost cried. So beautifull to see factions united together. This is what arabian dont understand, I piss on the arabian president, prince and king of this 21th century. God save Saladin and Mehmet for what they did. The only muslims governors that actualy serv their people correctly.

  • @vide0gameCaster You do realize they don't move in a cross in real life right? It's just a video game cinematic. Go read a book or something and stop believing everything you see in a video game or movie.

  • @RoyalDog214 Huuuuuuuuh? Hell I know they dint move in a cross formation in real life.

My emotions was about that video. So chill out!

  • @vide0gameCaster You know what I'm not even going to bother, especially coming from some 14 year old with a videogame in your name.

  • @RoyalDog214 I'm 18, english is not my first language so I cant exlain my self very well. My name have "videogame caster in it" because I do game cast about video games.

All I said, is that I know that in real life, no christians army moved in a cross formation. I just said that it was beautifull (that the video was well done) and what I said that I almost cried. It was not serious...

    That's all my friend!

  • ahhh this cutscene always makes me wanna wish that was truly what it was about :3

  • @davidwie What do you mean?Or are you misinterpretating the crusades?

  • @Varyalover

i don't know really what to believe about the crusades and what not.

i mean the church said that they should retake Jerusalem for their faith.

but i am kinda sceptic about the church's intentions at that time.

i think they just wanted some of the rich recources of that land and to prove the muslims wrong.

(it might sound the same to you, don't say it is, but im just kinda sceptic about it ;) )

  • @davidwie If it wasn't for faith, it would probably be the fact that there was alot of bloodshed in europe.CAllign the crusades would unite christendom's armies, and stop the bloodshed agaisnt eachother. However, I kinda doubt the pope wants to claim the 'hoyl land' without reasons of faith or peace, as it wasn't exeactly 'recource rich'.It shure as hell is recource rich now, with all the oil there ;3

  • i actually dont blame crusaders for the crusade so much as the pope. he basically said you guys join the crusade u get a free pass to heaven if u dont... well good luck.

he scared a lot of people

  • cross formation win

  • uhh durrr whats a crusade???

  • @BananaBean03

Its when all christians united and where given a mission from the pope to conquer a city

  • 3rd crusade is the most awesome one :D

  • that my friend is just a sorry ass excuse to wage war.

  • @chocoman45 show me a better one ... at least the Crusades were waged for very unselfish motives ... no money, power, territorial gain of any one nation-state, simply the defense of the persecuted members of one's own faith from the unjust aggression of another.

  • @stridertex no dude, the things the you said were the motives of the leaders who went to the crusade, they went to the holy land in search for power, territory, wealth, very few of them came for justice or religion.

  • @chocoman45 Many(Possibly Most) wanted to secure their place in Heaven and Pope Urban II clearly says that fighting in the crusades will garantee a place land. Now crusading armies were expensive. The crusaders mostly worked to retake the Holy land and maybe destroying Eastern Christendom.

  • @chocoman45 The armies contained all different types of people, some wanted graces, others wealth. That was not the point. The Crusades were launched in the defence of muslims aggresion, and the Pope wanted to try take the Holy Land back from the Muslims, back into Christian hands. God Bless.

  • @stridertex I hope you're being sarcastic, my friend ^^

  • @stridertex

What do you mean by " waged for very unselfish motives"?!! The Crusades ALWAYS have been the result of the greedy wishes of the Pope, nothing more!! Innocent men, women, and children were beguiled into thinking that they would gain remission into heaven if they slay the "heathen" in the East. The pope used the fears the common to fight an ungodly war, claiming it was heaven's will!

To summarize, Chocoman45 is right: that IS a sorry ass excuse to wage war

  • @melzar297 There are no good excuses to wage war.

  • @Sibbot Self-defence is the only good reason to wage war... but even in such a case, the meaning of "self-defense" is warped so easily that anyone can wage war on another nation out of greed and claim it to be out of "self-defense".

  • @melzar297 "greedy wishes of the pope" waht did the pope wish for then?

  • @Varyalover

Wishes = Power, Money, Prestige, Land, and anything else which may fill the coffers of the Papacy. One man preaching for a religious undertaking which cost millions of lives just for the capturing of a single city? No amount of naivity and biblical preaching can conceal the corrupted intentions of the pope in calling the crusades.

  • @melzar297 Power-How do they get power by sending other coutnries to crusade? money-Well yeah, some of it is LOST Prestige-Well, if you mean the two great kings Phillip and Richard. Land-Yes, some recource-lacking land that they were conqouring for their religion

  • @Varyalover To answer all of your questions:

    1) Power- Yes, the pope receives power because practically every King and prince is answering your call because they believe that they'll go to hell if they don't. That's like a kid playing with his dad's gun; you can't even tell what he can- or will- do.

    2) Prestige- by being able to manipulate all the kings of Europe, that's prestige enough.

    3) Land- Yes its one hell of a resource, because more land equals more revenue!!!

  • @melzar297

    1) Power: well, not exactly everyone has to go on the crusade.3 out of many contries did, so not really.

    2) Prestige: manipulate?Well, if everyone agrees for a crusade, whether or not the pope will call one, not really.

    3) Land:And whose paying this revenue?I doubt everyone there is paying their taxes, they would definitely be exhempted for periods of time.

  • @Varyalover

To end this convo once in for all,

    1) Yes, everyone had to go on Crusade; if you considered yourself a true Catholic, you would just follow them regardless.

    2) Prestige: A crusade is not a crusade unless the Pope calls it; he could have just shut up em and used the "thou shall not kill" commandment for support, but no, he didn't do that, did he?

3)Land: The people who got rich from the crusades, yes; but the peasentry of Europe had to fund their dumb lords' expeditions. Not cheap.

  • @melzar297 You're right, you refuse to listen to reason, so let us end this conversation because I'm done trying to educate the ignorant.

  • wow his voice is so strong

  • i hate the first crusade event

  • What does the "t" stand for?

  • @rangergxi it's suppose to be a crucifix

  • @rangergxi Rofl Fail.

  • @rangergxi its called the Cross...the symbol of the Christian Faith...

  • @TheDjBlitzification What does it do?

  • @rangergxi

its not a T its supposed to be the symbol of Jesus (cross)

  • @zudikas8 What does it do?

  • @rangergxi its show th faith fo Christian as like morale booster, in the game u can hire them as mercenary in Italian regions, these cross if placed rightfully, may cause ur units to fight to the death even losing condition

  • God Wills It

  • I loved playing during the Crusades cause that was the only time I could attack, I made alliances with every Catholic nation except for Denmark, I conquered them pretty early on

  • this movie is epic one of the best in all total war

  • The holy bible may preach peace. But when it is christaindom itself that is threaten. That it is every christians duty to denfend all that is holy. His holiness the Pope has called a crusade to reclaim the Holy from the infantdom. Who will deny christian pilgrims that right to visit the Holy places. It is time for the armies of Christaindom to put a side their deferences and unite one banner. The sign if the Cross and give back god's children what is rightfully theirs.Or die trying.

  • The First Cruasade was been Crashed and Their Armies were destroyed by Egyptian army, and then Egyptians reconquered Jerusalem and from that time , Crusades NEVER succeseed in Taking jerusalem again, Egyptians Fucked them all the Crusades up from the second crusade to the last crusade on both Egypt and Jerusalem

  • WHAT?!?!?!?!

in first crusade european capture the jerusalem - in third crusade too, but the kingdom of jeruzalem was dead xDD

  • LOOOOOOOL The third crusade too ?!! , go find some history book to read better than the CNN U faggot bitch fuck u

  • lol

  • lol they conquered it 3 times dickhead

  • nooot, crusaders conquered Jerusalem at 1099, Saladin conquered Jerusalem at 1187, but Jerusalem was conquered by crusaders again, was it 7th or 8th crusade?

  • lol where did u get that history from ?!! , all the crusades begining from the 4th crusade to the 7th crusades ( there is no 8th one ) . were targeting Egypt not jerusalem , and they were all destroyed and King of france was taken as prisoner in one of them , Jerusalem didn't ever conquered by Crusaders after salading freed it , after that Ottomans took over it and then British gave part of it to zionists

  • There were crusades to Europe too, "Holy Land" wasnt the only place. So 6th Crusade, Frederik II went to "Holy Land" there he made a deal with al-Kamil, who gave Jerusalem and few towns to Frederik. Where did you get your history?

  • Wiki .. it ..

  • what ? I used wikipedia.

  • @EgyptianGreatMan The 4th crusade was against Konstantinople

  • @tsimos4eva

the 4th Crusade was first to help the troops of the 3th and second.. the first crusade was the longest of all, it was till Jerusalem was captured by Saladin. The fourth Crusade was one of the baddest.. the Crusaders helped a Byzantine Prince on the throne but he couldn't pay them for that so they decided they could invade konstantinople

  • @tsimos4eva The Fourth Crusade was originally aimed to retake Jerusalem, it got sidetracked though.

  • XD no no no what happened (I learned this in school btw) was that the first crusade took the Holy Land, then the other crusades were to keep those lands. Eventually the Christians lost that land and the other crusades were to try to take it all back and they didn't succeed.

  • @elesararwos yeah, I knew that lol.

  • ah ok then ^.^ sorry

  • Although these gains lasted for less than two hundred years, the First Crusade was part of the Christian response to the Islamic conquests, as well as the first major step towards reopening international trade in the West since the fall of the Western Roman Empire.

  • What started as an appeal quickly turned into a wholescale Western migration and conquest of territory outside of Europe. Both knights and peasants from many nations of Western Europe travelled over land and by sea towards Jerusalem and captured the city in July 1099, establishing the Kingdom of Jerusalem and other Crusader states.

  • The First Crusade was launched in 1095 by Pope Urban II with the primary goal of responding to the appeal from Byzantine Emperor Alexius I. The Emperor requested that western volunteers come to their aid and repel the Seljuk Turks in Anatolia, modern day Turkey. The Crusade soon turned into a religious conquest and a secondary goal was created - reconquer the sacred city of Jerusalem and the Holy Land and free the Eastern Christians from Islamic rule.
