  • John Dillinger is as famous as Jessie James....True Heros...J Edgar hoover goes down in history as a Homosexual and somehow had 15 Million dollars in his bank account when he died.......THE CHIEF OF THE FBI was a bigger theif than Dillinger was!

  • My grandfather spoke with john near his work in wisconsin. they needed money and my grandpa said he would give them money for a pocket watch witch my uncle still has.

  • Well, John robbed banks and the Robber Barron's robbed everyone else! Like the Rockefeller, Getty's, Hearst's, and of course the Mafia, who J E Hoover let off the hook, because he was in the closet about his homosexuality, the Mafia threatened to expose his hidden life.

  • The Banks are crooks no matter what era, they spend your money to make themselves money, they were the cause of every depression this country had and in everyway came out smelling like a rose at the peoples expense.......

  • Id be embarrest to walk into any building named after a known pedophile and sexual deviant..........J Edgar BURN IN HELL!

  • Hoover had the death mask made for his office. He was crouched on the floor of one of the FBI cars, masturbating furiously into a pair of soiled boxer shorts, and made his triumphant appearance after the shooting.

  • so let me get this right, DC has a museum that proudly shows how it killed an american hero?

chalk this one up there with the dirty deeds commited on Americana by folks like Allen Lomax and the Cross Dressing Child Molesting J Edgar Hoover

  • He may have been a folk hero to many but that is a far cry from an American Hero? His popularity and success as a thief and murderer dictated that he be shot down like a dog. He and many others in that era exploited that window of opportunity where thieves had the advantage, before laws ,communication and police weaponry were improved to make life tough for outlaws.

  • so let me get this right, John D stole from the banks that stole houses away from farmers and common people.

for that he should be (in your words)

    "shot down like a dog"

tell me, do you like killing animals and or people? Or is your taste to watch as some one else does it?

the Murders commited by John D, were they cops or real people? Because the cops in those days were criminals.

perhaps THEIR actions warrant being "shot down in the street"

  • If you want to get it right , quit operating on the basis of the banks stealing people`s homes and farms. Banking is a business and foreclosures are an unpleasant part of that business. Where is your compassion for the bank`s shareholders when Dillinger bankrupts them with a robbery on uninsured banks. These were the days that a bankrupt bank meant broke depositors. You Dillinger apologists and hero worshipers make me sick. A half dozen men died in the wake of his jailbreaks and robberies.

  • @bugsycline i think this museum was not to boast about the killing of dillinger, but just some artifacts from his life. I've watched the movie, public enemies, and so now i am extremely interested in him, and all the gangsters of the 1930's. I would go visit it just to see his exhibit, but not because i would like to see the things of a dead criminal, but of a dead man who was legend. im just saying, i don't think the museum is like "yay hes dead, and heres his stuff" but whatever =)

  • A very fine film and a good song. You have done a great job here, and avoided all the usual traps posters tend to fall in when describing desperadoes etc. It is fine footage, right tempo and - accurate. Keep posting! Yrs truly, HG

  • what is the song and the singer please

  • The song title and singer are listed at the end of the video. It is "Why Do I Care For You?" by Robin Adler. Thank you for your interest in NMCP.

  • that one photo of his body in the morgue, which sparked alot of stupid rumour about his penis being so large...the protrusion under the sheet is the handle/lever that controls the lock & angle of the table he's on. the sheet is just laying over...for some reason.
