yeah sure it will wake you up, but also make sure you have the gun or butcher knife in a locked garage guarded by fierce crocodiles and murderous birds, since you will want to destroy the first person you find when you realize you can't shut the thing off.

Better to leave the alarm clock on the other side of the bedroom, or if need be, in another room like on a table, but close enough to hear it
