I believe that the best strategy is in outflanking. For example, I play as the British 9 times out of 10, and a common strategy I use is exploiting the rate of fire, accuracy, and morale of the British and then ouflanking. Lets say that I have been shooting at your units, and one on the extreme right breaks. I then use the units that broke them to rotate counter-clockwise in this case and begin surrounding the enemy on both flanks.

I love using the frontal assault tactic - would that be considered n00bish because it involves spamming infantry? I'm REALLY good at it though, and I agree that it has improved micro skills - I hadn't realized until now.

This is gold since I basically gave up on Napoleon. I thought the single player campaing was boring because the challenge wasn't the battles themselves but the campaings demands on having to finnish tasks within a certain amount of rounds and in multiplayer I constantly got teared a new a**hole every time. So tonight I'll probably try and go online and fight once more. :P

A good idea would be to create multiple videos of the same battle that has different outcomes. You could have links to the different outcomes at the end after asking a question like "what do you do? Charge with infantry, Flank with Cavalry, or Continue firing artillery?" and play the battle out (after saving at each question) vs the AI on hard or something to see if your viewers really learned something.

@skasso12 they are both great games however Napoleon has alot more detail where as Empire has more factions and units but my honest opinion would have to be Napoleon

@skasso12 Napolen has subtle changes that make gameplay smoother, but has multiple small campaigns and less factions. Empire has less players, but a huge campaign map with many factions to choose from.

Speedmeister goes for the envelopment right away and it usualy works. And yea quiting is stupid. I alomost never get to complete a ranked battke because of it.
