  • I want my 2 minutes back spent listening to this crap.

  • @utekked only if you gimme my 2 seconds back reading this crap!

  • 3:12 ... best guitar part EVER !

  • lol

  • I assumed the title was a joke or something but it's a cover. Dig it. :) Dillinger Escape Plan is pretty good.

  • Damn, I didn't think I'd like this with Patton, but it's fucking great!

  • I saw DEP in 1999... they fucking blew the roof off. Synchronized light show, constant stage diving by the singer and guitarist, fucking epic.

  • You have to remember though; Mike Patton is also the voice of 'The Darkness' in the game The Darkness, he probably just used the same voice as he did back then :P

  • What's up with the quality? This was cover was horrible nevertheless. They could have done it much better. Richard would be dissapoint.

  • @NoZAutonomy I don't see how this cover was horrible. This is a bat-shit crazy song, and I think they did it well.

  • fuck me this version is brutal as hell!

  • fail

  • seriously, worst band ever

  • Delicious.

  • dont tell me u dont get a boner from 3:12-...

  • @xTemplar1 Whoopsie-daisy...

  • voto positivo Quien sepa castellano xDD

    Ingleses ,Ingleses everywhere

  • singing in this reminds me of the zombies of call of duty haha

  • .....They all look like Princess Margret!!! Or is it just my imagination LOL.

  • Satan skullfucks puppys to this music

  • Shang Tsung's Theme song.

  • messenger360, you're great.

  • I never actually noticed the graffiti in the background at 3:08

"Is techno" and "AF" was wrote by themselves, but you can spot a little "x" right after "AF". :) I love these subtle messages Aphex Twin makes! :)

  • @BreezoX Also the Aphex twin logo at 4:52! :P

  • Fucking eat their souls Mike

  • Was it Mike Patton singing?

  • @SX1995able I think it's both Mike Patton and Greg Puciato. But I think Patton is jus the more dominant voice.

  • @IsHuUpFromNorthMen just patton greg just didn't exist for dep at this time.

  • @IsHuUpFromNorthMen On the studio version (the song is on the 4 track EP "Irony Is A Dead Scene") DEP were between singers, so they recorded those 4 tracks with Mike Patton as a vocalist. So, it is just Patton on that version. Live, of course, it has always been sung with Greg (except for the few times they played a gig with Mike back in those days).

  • @almightytallestred Ahh right, my mistake. Thanks for letting me know

  • @IsHuUpFromNorthMen No. It's just Mike Patton. This album was made about a year and a half before Greg Puciato even thought about joining DEP. Tihs was made after Dimitri quit. This, is fucking genius though, taking the original Aphex Twin vid and syncing the DEP audio? Genius.

  • @SX1995able Yes!

  • haha, this made me laugh so hard

  • @3524jake but im unforsure , ot sounded like i will eat youir souls

  • So good it's almost ridiculous! XD

  • WIIIICKED!!!

  • is the old lady screaming too??

  • this NEEDS to be a movie

  • you're still a moron for putting someones music over someone elses video.so in reality you are a dumbass and you should hang yourself

  • The intro is the original so is the video, the rest is DEP

  • this is even more scary then the aphex twin. PERFECT....

  • i used to live in the flat overlooking this same place where some of a clockwork orange scenes were filmed, no ones going to give a fuck but heyy i do :D

  • @jamiewigglez16 Awesome!

  • aphex twin u noob

  • HA.

  • I'm going to have nightmares about this video....but I love DEP....

  • realy like the scream to the grandma..

  • I have massive respect for the drummer fir learning Aphex Twin, as I've seen in his other videos, but this is an unnecessary cover. The original is electronic music's impression of metal, and it does so while being more cerebral than 95% of metal out there. It's an oxymoron, really, its a composition done in a mostly trashy genre. A metal band covering it ruins the point.

  • @Freekchild Dillinger isn't metal.........

  • @Freekchild considering the dillinger version featured Mike Patton and is from the EP "Irony is dead" I'm pretty sure they didn't miss the point at all.

  • @Freekchild There is plenty of cerebral metal out there, but it's completely optional. Metal is a primal genre.

  • thanks for the post...well done and extra freaky !

  • @messenger360 Not very clever or observant are you... The original IS by Aphex Twin. This is the cover from Dillinger Escape Plan (as it says in the description) You, sir, are the dumbass.

  • @IsHuUpFromNorthMen Yes is right is dilinger Escape plan do this!

  • @IsHuUpFromNorthMen COCK SLAP

  • @IsHuUpFromNorthMen this is an amazingly good cover though! I prefer the original, but this is still amazing!

  • Comment removed

  • @messenger360 Woops. Fool.

  • @messenger360 dude aphex twin sucks and DEP cover is better so shutup

  • @thequeefmachine

How can you say that Aphex Twin sucks? If it weren't for Aphex Twin, the cover would never exist. If you like the cover, then you like the original by proxy.

  • @terminaldeity Not only that, but Aphex Twin was way ahead of his time, producing amazing music in the early years of technology.

  • @grindcorepants

Early years of technology? Hardly. That statement could be made for Kraftwerk and Jean Jacques Perry but not Richard D. James. Granted his music was far more complex than most other music at the time, but electronic music had been around for more than a decade before he burst onto the scene.

  • @terminaldeity What I mean is computer wise. He started in the early 90's, which was still when computers and technologically produced music was not very advanced. I'm not saying he was an original creator of electronic music, just saying he made complex music when the technology for making so was not too advanced.

  • @grindcorepants

You'd be surprised how complex electronic music was in the 90s. Check out some early Wagon Christ/Luke Vibert.

  • @terminaldeity Yes, I know how advanced and complex music was in the 90's.

  • @grindcorepants hardly an original creator. electronic music began in the 40s

  • @terminaldeity i stand up for metal or heavy rock band aphex twin is not very metal and thats why i dont really like aphex twin

  • @thequeefmachine

Try expanding your horizons and not being a narrowminded tool.

  • @messenger360 think before you speak

  • @messenger360 YOU ARE THE BIGGEST IDIOT ON THE NET..AND YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO READ..HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..WHAT A MORON..LETS INSULT HIM..YOU ARE THE ONE WHO DESERV IT..

  • @DaedricLavaWhiskey its mathcore....

  • THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING!!!! FUCK YEAH COME TO DADDY METAL COVER!!!

  • i love Aphex Twin, Mike Patton, and the Dillinger Escape plan

  • @DaedricLavaWhiskey Uhh, I think the point is for the cover to sound thrashy and metal... I don't see a problem with someone reinterpreting it as they see fit.

  • @DaedricLavaWhiskey messy? have you heard the original?! This song IS messy.

  • i was really hopping aphex twin and dillinger teamed up for a split or something or did they?

  • I'm a ginger, I don't have a soul.

  • @565765746867665 soul or not, he will still eat it :)

  • @565765746867665 Great comment, lmao.... :-)

  • 3:45 lol idk y

  • i like the part where he wants my soul

  • @cmslipknotfan13 my favorite part is where you don't post stupid comments. but you had to ruin that

  • @xxMassMurderer1235xx I like you, little MassMurderer.

  • @BaconSucks thank you

  • @richstick Oh I was just saying I like the sound of guitar over acid bass and that

  • @PlasticKatanaProd damnit, mike patton is in this band too?

  • I love Aphex Twin but I love the sound of guitar so I have to give it to The Dillinger Escape Plan, this is an epic cover, better than the original.

  • if they would have did one more big scream when the dude came out of the TV, i would start moshing

  • The clip is also soo good

  • @DrRazorblade

    ALL ALONG THE FAILBOAT!

  • Comment removed

  • @shaynesleeper

it was meant for DrRazorblade, because DEP/Patton are how do I say it., "infailable"

  • @OneWithTheOcean after i read it i again i knew what you meant, sorry. :)

  • hell yeah

  • Even though it freaked me out then pissed me off that this was covered when I first heard it today while shopping...I don't hate it too much. :x NuMetal covers of 90's alt. Electronica...Why not.

  • @DrRazorblade

Numetal? Really? Seems like you don't even know what you're talking about

  • @DrRazorblade

Mike Patton pisses down the throats of numetal. Just as he does you, your mother, and you family dog. Get your subgenres straight.

  • @DrRazorblade numetal....numetal........

  • epik

  • sick, sick, sick! i love it!

  • Fuck you fucker, you are a discrase to everybody, this is a fucknig sick fuck you are donig ther e fuck, mixing the genious of aphex twin to some fucking gay as motherfucking tune and you thinkits briliant you fucking sick bastardus fuck. your mother should have swallowed you, oh wait, she was raped.

  • this is some fuckin psychologically insane music i cant believe this isnt illegal. this can traumatise u. this is y u see people cuttin their wrists and then the world wonders why it happens some much. i was gonna read the comments thinkin that some one would say somethin like this but they talk about some fuckin drummin!!!!!

  • @verdugito1 look up the original version.

  • @verdugito1 lol, cry more pussy.

  • Kudos to Pennie, epic drumming.

  • The drumming is blowing my mind...fucking eh man.

  • Shit this is epic

  • good cover

  • good cover

  • Fuckin mike patton

  • Bit out of sync, isn't it. Good cover.

  • @TheDeadSource Well, it is, but the scream is in sync, and it's worth the entire video!

  • Sorry, for me no where near as good as the original. They don't have the finesse when it comes to the texture of the sound and the production, seems like theyre too focused on just being able to play it.

  • Love it … the mix could be a bit cleaned up to bring out the drumming excellence …

  • i used to listen to the dillinger escap plan all the time in school... its a miracle i never burned it down or something :P

  • i used to have this whole cd.. with the whole mike patton calaboration.. but somone who may or may not have been my significant other at the time decided it was appropriate to lend out my music to random people. i've been trying to track down another copy ever since.

  • Invokes Fear

  • This music video scared the shit out of me when i was a kid...

  • i have that kind of effect on time, you see

  • Comment removed

  • this is a very bold cover, and it's really not too bad

  • Just a fucked up music video... Amazing cover though. Chris Pennie is a god...

  • great cover o.o fucking mike patton and his godly voice... seriously what is that man's vocal chords made of!?

  • Mike Patton is a fucking god.

  • Holy shit it sounds awesome.

I also really love the original.

  • ahahha this is an awesome try, but all this song made me want to do was listen to aphex twin.

  • Cheers to them for attempting this. They did a pretty good job, but they probably needed another couple of drummers to match the full percussive bombast of the original.

  • mike patton did vocals on this.

  • mike patton did vocals on this.

  • Nah, still love the original.

  • in what relation stands the dillinger escape plan with aphex twin?

  • This video was banned from MTV because the ones controling society do not want us to realize that we are all slaves. Do you really think television is for our pleasure? NOOO!!! It's a tool, controling us and telling us what to do. It all distracts us from the truth...

  • @ChrisBytebier-----That's what they, they start when you're young, y'know. When you're little they, at school they, they Baden-Powell all the boys and they Betty Crocker all the girls and they, then they air condition ya' and put ya' in the Heat N' Bake Oven and ya' can't breathe any more.

  • Did they do a good job covering? yeah, better than i could...but its like getting the Beatles to play a led zeppelin song. Im sure they could do it, but their coming from another background...and although chris pennie can play the drums note for note (see related), he doesn't in this version...and the part where the singer is all "ahhhhhh" toward the end, sucks...like he wasn't really into it at the time and just did it to do it....4 out of 10....wow, i explained this to intricately...

  • @bluehairedtuna how dare you disgrace mike patton!?

  • quite interesting...

  • I no why this was banned from MTV because the video is messed up and the kids are a bit :O

  • actually i think awhile back i saw it play on mtv liikke....2 months ago? idk but it was around 5 or 6 am

  • this is awesome!

  • @bradleythebear dep is not death metal you retard

  • it's okay but definately not better

  • the two cannot be compared. the drums suck here. i miss teh amazing drumwork at 1:59 when that "girl" is hitting that fence or wall or whatever.

  • the guitar sounds like shit. the vocals are decent. The drums are decent.

I perfer Aphex Twin alot more.

  • @dudesons441 You have to remember, this is one drummer doing it while Aphex is essentially a programmed sequencer doing the drum work. Taking that into consideration, I think the drums are incredible!

  • @cygnus122 Lol I know that. How they mixed this track fucking sucks!

  • MIKE PATTON IS THE MAN!!!!!

  • MIKE PATTON

  • this is wild

It's not Richard D. James of course

    but it's still pretty badass.

  • lulz

    Rick James

  • they have done an awesome job of this...no doubt.

still, the original is a classic.

  • In my opinion this is better than the original version, and I'm a fan of both bands. Just my opinion, which I'm entitled to.

  • Richard is not a band

  • @majaxira okay so maybe he should just be called Richard instead of Apex Twin haha sorry? I like the music regardless who cares

  • The best!

  • Regardless of how this compares to the original, it's a good song.

  • Mint cover!
