She HAD a permit to "operate" an handgun but gave it up. The only way should could have got a permit in first place was to know someone with the political clout to get her one. I interned for Senator Feinstein and I can tell you that you are full of crap. First of all, gun control is not about taking away guns-it places regulations on the industry. People were still allowed to carry a firearm under the assault weapons ban but there were rules...the legislation itself is not totalitarian (Hitler proscribed to that ideology). It's like saying The Brady Bill is Nazi like...but that bill imposes a waiting period, hence a regulation. There is nothing Hitler esque here.
