i tend to stare at one point during gigs as well, good to see im not the only one, im probably worse. i have a video of an entire gig that im looking at this one spot the whole time, lol
at one point off camera a tap dancer is performing when I am doing my walking bass solo. There is also a director indicating when we do the stop time part and we get a little out of sync with the dancer. I do the whoops on the bass and say hey to which the drummer responds on the next bar. so I got a lot to keep an eye on LOL. There is no music to read so we are also being signaled when the end of the song is to happen. Leave me a link to your video, I'd like to see it.
thanks for showing the younger guys what we can do with just one finger and for playing only what the song required:nothing fancy, just Solid Supportive Bass.I'm sure you could shred notes if you want to but by not shredding, you show us that you are a mature, adaptable role player.
man oh man.. you killed it.

I love the way he walks through the cord changes and looks around like "Hey this ain't shit to play" He knows his finger board very well.
