@9R1665 k, well, in the OVA, Evil ryu, who has the same powers as akuma, only weaker, was shot at by bullets. they bounced off... & Akuma's skin is tough enough to punch through submarines(SF3), and survive in VOLCANOS, IN THE LAVA(ssf4), i doubt guns from the likes of Stryker would even phase him...

@aznpikachu215 It's not even about that. The anime presents a reality that is not even remotely consistent with the source games. Not even remotely. It is to the point where, even if both are considered canon by CAPCOM, no rational mind could equate them. Their equality becomes a logical impossibility.

It's like Sindel in MK9, but several orders of magnitude worse.

The anime influence in Street Fighter must be rejected for any semblance of logic to be maintained.

@R1665 at the very least, if it's not MK bias, I would predict that most Akuma figures have some level of skill that goes beyond being overwhelmed by a human with a gun.

That said, it's a f-cking easter egg, so saying that it should be taken as canon just as much as Stryker wasting M. Bison in an epic showdown is silly. Even if it is, it's meant for comic relief. I'd like to think that the alternate Stryker is just powerful and that the creator isn't just a biased MK fan.

@Momentum139 I would have to disagree with the gist of your comment. To assume that any character in a fighting series is well and beyond the capacity of being beaten by "normal" men is to ignore the source game. Akuma and Bison may be godly monsters in a cartoon, but the source games set an entirely different standard. In the game, they can be beaten by "lesser" people such as Sakura, Dan, Makoto, or anybody else in the roster. That's the standard I use, not the anime one.

@R1665 in a fighting game, anybody can beat anybody. You can understand why I and some others don't follow that chain of logic that any lesser character can canonically defeat a character that is supposed to be more powerful than them. Like despite Ryu or any character beating Akuma, Akuma still KO's Bison and is supposed to be undefeated for most of the SF series.

As much as I love R1665 and his work, he's a major fanboy. Have you seen the boner he has for Stryker lately? The character is so bad, imo. I understand he hates Akuma, and that's fine, he's allowed to hate who he wants but, Stryker is just some random riot cop, lol. I have a feeling he's also going to embarrass Scorpion in his next flash, easily one of the best fighting game character ever, imo.

@PurityOfEvil24 Could I not, with greater justification, label Scorpion as "just some random ninja"? Virtually every human-based fighting game has at least one. MK has at least half a dozen of the human male variety alone. If you prefer to view Stryker as "just some random riot cop", that's your prerogative. I would ask, though, can you name another? From ANY fighting game?

From where I'm sitting, Stryker is much more worthy than Scorpion. "Scorpions" are a dime a dozen.

@R1665 I'm sure you're the only one who feels that way, since Scorpion has a massive fanbase. That's because the 'ninja' concept is popular, dude. I'm not saying you should change anything but, Scorpion should be given some respect, he's very powerful, virtually being Mortal Kombat's Ghost Rider but, more awesome. Scorpion does have alot of uniqueness to him, that separates him from other ninjas but, that's just m opinion.

Everybody who knows of Mortal Kombat knows of Scorpion. Now, does that automatically make the character better? I would submit "no". Let me ask you this: what percentage of Scorpion's fans would be willing to fight for HOURS on behalf of their favorite character? I bet that percentage is a hell of a lot smaller than that of Stryker's fans.

@R1665 I'm willing to fight for hours on Scorpion's behalf, especially when he has hated by certain people for no good reason. Like being too 'mainstream' or something as ridiculous as that. (Not aimed at you but, others that I've met) In my opinion, the character is far better, in yours he isn't. I'm not arguing that. However, I'm just saying, I don't think he deserves the Akuma treatment. I can definitely understand your hatred for Akuma, though. (I do like him, strangely enough)

@PurityOfEvil24 Well, if it makes you feel any better, I do not hate Scorpion. I am 100% Scorpion neutral. I've met and fought with a couple of his more obnoxious fans, but that by no means reflects on the character. My only real complaint about him is that he gets entirely too much attention and praise given the size of the roster. However, Scorpion will never fall into the dismal shitty pit of mediocrity and staleness in which the SF Shotoclones reside. That much is certain.

@R1665 Even if you did hate Scorpion, I wouldn't mind at all. One of my best friends actually hates Scorpion, and prefers the lesser known characters. Believe me, I know where you're coming from. I've gone head to head with other Scorpion fans, and I consider myself one of his biggest fans. Lol. I think the praise and attention is well deserved but, I do see where you're coming from. I feel the same about Sub-Zero, who is also one of my favorites. Third to be exact, behind Scorp and Sonya.
