I could never get this game to work, because there were typos in the program listing. This was a common occurrence in the old Compute! magazine. After typing it in, you had to then debug it, because of all the typos in the magazine.
Yes, there were typos or small sections of code missing in each issue, though not in all listings. They always had a section towards the back called "Capute!" where they published corrections to listings in past issues. The corrections could go back 2-3 issues sometimes. I actually asked one of the editors of Compute! about this. He said that the errors were always due to publishing errors, not errors in the original source code. If that was the case, it was a chronic problem.
