  • im just shakeing my head, no wonder these issues stay buried and take decades to be addressed seperatism is so ingrained in us all whether it be by religion / footy teams followed / home town etc , i suffered also and grew up alone, one important thing to understand is the stolen generation were denied thier culture, why is this always left out, it is a crime against humanity, there isnt a lot of understanding about the life long impact and damage done to generations past present and future.

  • this where i live for a long time rosemount convert ashfield n.s.w..what a hold hell we all went though ...

  • This is very sad, for any child and their families and it does not matter what colour your skin is. I know for a fact this happened and not just in Australia. The fact that sorry wasn't given to everyone involved is sad and should be rectified. In this, all australians should be united. I am truly sorry for what the government did to all of you and we can stand up and make sure nothing like this ever happens again

  • "The Truth", windsor68, means 'the facts, untainted by vested interests'. The TRUTH is that BOTH white and aboriginal children were stolen, but there has been much noise about aboriginals while white children's plight has been denied/ignored. It is neither 'racist'' nor 'nasty' to tell the truth.

It is racist to differentiate between persons based solely on their race. And it's nasty to deny the plight of someone who has been hurt just because your PERSONAL sympathies lie elsewhere.

  • @ everyone

I just think about about how terrifying the experience of being taken away from one's family must have been for any child of any background. I support any assistance given to any child who experienced such a plight. I think the fundamental point is that those of us who live today must acknowledge the wrongs of yesterday, even if we or our parents did not personally commit them. The argument of 'I didn't do it' holds less weight these days, and that, if anything, is surely positive

  • Ok... Lets start with something simple... your info at the bottom of the video... To quote you.... "The truth about Australias stolen generation. " Even this is insulting... What do you mean the truth? Perhaps a better way of saying it would be the other stolen generation.... you are trying to take something away with that statement already... wait... let me guess??? You don't get it... enough said. You aren't racist... I bet you have aboriginal friends...

  • What a load of BS!!! You nasty women. You are running down stolen generations to further your own cause.... No body is denying that white kids were stolen... but it does not change the fact of the governments treatment and policy on the indigenous stolen generation... Maybe you would get more support if you didn't use this racist rubbish to try and further your cause.

  • The bs is all yours, windsor68!

Apparently you can't comprehend plain English. Firstly, most people ARE denying white kids were stolen - including the Government. More importantly, though, I said NOT ONE WORD that was racist or denigrating of indigenous Australians, stolen or otherwise. But recognising and apologising to onely one race while ignoring the plight of the other is RACIST IN THE EXTREME.

Note: I asked winsor68 directly to identify any nasty or racist comment. He couldn't!

  • It's about time.
