  • not good

  • Sorry you had a problem with the video. First time for that one. Aunt DeeDee is the reader of all fables & stories for "Down Memory Lane". Aunt DeeDee also reads Jesus' Parables ("The Sower and the Seed" on YouTube) . Aunt DeeDee also reads at local events & schools in the Tampa Bay, FL area.

  • @dbldee722 Sent you a message again. Don't know the reason concerning the other video.

  • @rlfmoba Lol, now it's working

  • Got some problem with the video, that never was appearing on my screen, even after an hour, although the video was nearly full loaded (if we can trust in the process bar), wrote to YouTube help [''Report playback issue"], hopefully noone of us stopped this version of a tale of Aesop, but who is Aunt DeeDee?

  • this was just on mad men

  • @Carltanious Hi. I don't watch MAD MEN, but have heard of the show. Do you mean the fable or my video?

  • @dbldee722 . I meant the fable

  • nice i like this one

  • @dawgtag12345 Thank you. Check out my webiste. I have entire video available of stories just like this one.

  • nice guys finish last...a hard learned lesson that only life can teach you because it is not something that is politically correct that can be taught in schools.

  • Thank you agony aunt! that's really working!

  • One of my favourites!

  • Thanks for watching!

  • It's funny... Aesop also taught the moral "A kind word and brute force will go further than a kind word alone." It's a testament to his wisdom that he could question his own advice, I feel.

  • Very interesting. I've never heard that one before.

  • I can't find which fable it was, but it was one of the fables that had more than one moral... i think it was "the Bear and the Lion." I just remember that the other moral was "Greatness is not how much strength you wield, but with how much restraint you wield your strength."

  • Hi! I didn't get your comment until now. I have not heard of that fable, but i really like the moral. I'm going to look it up. Thanks.

  • "Kindness and gentleness is more effective than force"

  • This is too cool. I really love the different ways people view this video. Its moral translates differently for everyone! The morals I quote on this one and "The Lion and The Mouse" and other Fables I have done are the sayings that I grew up hearing and reading. I am from Florida, USA. Where are YOU from? I really enjoy all the wonderfully diverse viewpoints from all over the world! WHAT FUN!

  • I'm from South Australia lol don't laugh! I'm impressed by you dedication to answer everyone's comments.

I didn't mention why I was interested in the Sun and the Wind. A while back my drama group performed a few songs titled the sun and the wind. They were the same as the story, with lyrics like "I can make rainbows and freckles on noses. And the old sun grinned at the wild winter wind." I've searched everywhere but can't find anything about there being a musical version.

  • I found where there is a musical version created tothe works of Jean de la Fountaine who took many of his stories from Aesop's Fables. But you're right. I couldn't even get a hit from my lyrics program and that usually picks up even the most obscure.

  • the moral of this tales is life warm love is better than strong cold wind,,

  • Thank you for your comment of "The Sun and The Wind." The moral of the story differs with each culture and I really liked the one from you. An Aesop's Fables website gives the moral as "Persuasion is better than Force." So you see, it truly depends on where you are from as to how the story is heard. Which is the really the beauty and wonder of words and the human race. If we all shared our differences as you have done, then we might not have so many of them.

  • this is pretty cool

  • Thank you. Your site is kinda cool too

  • I like it too!

  • Sorry about not responding sooner. I'm glad you enjoyed my story!

  • i like it!

even if nobody else comments i will.

  • Sorry about not getting back to you. I am still learning to navigate YouTube. THanks for your comment!
