we did a 24 hour one with our whole school - and we wanted to make it longer but the school said they couldn't do that if there was also 6th graders joining in, we raised i think over 23,000 CHF with about 600 people

In the US we have to pick food. And it's thirty hours. We had to cancel ours in the fall for my youth group because it snowed so bad we couldn't get to the church but we're goiing to do it again may 30-31. Me and my friend have raised almost enuf money to feed a child for a year!!! I can't wait, it's almost all me and my friends talk about. My best friends are all from youth group, so we're always talkin about this stuff, and everyone's always like, wat?.... its funny

my foster sister really wanted to do the40 hr famine but about 2 weeks before they did it she was diagnosed with diabetes, type 2, which means she's gotta take the insulin jabs and eat and drink to keep her blood suger levels up. so i went 80 hours for her and she was so happy. but i hav to say, that i ate so much after thoe 80 hours!! lol

I did a 30h version. Man, it was tough.

But it's not too accurate a depiction of what 3rd world kids are experiencing. We had water to drink (some of them were milk and stuff like that) but 3rd world kids don't even have access to clean water.
