Don McKellar is one of the most important people in film in the last twenty years. He is a Canadian filmmaker - quintessentially Canadian. His work will be shown in filmschool classes for decades to come. It's not surprising that some people don't like his work - art is difficult and contentious and makes demands on the viewer, and McKellar's films are art... important art.

It's fine if you don't like his films, but a proud display of impolite ignorance reflects more on you than on him.
