Argh, this is way too much "cartoonish" for me. I've started hating all the stupid decisions Blizzard is taking about D3, and got my hopes up on this one for a few seconds.... But no, it doesn't look like this one has got what I'm looking for either. Every character looks like some sort of sorcerer with effects blasting all over the screen... It's just ridiculous. Are the devs 14 years old?

But at least these guys maybe haven't made the game so ridiculously easy that Blizzard is making D3..

Truly great game, i have a destroyer, finishing the game tommorow, at floor 27 atm.

it took me 10-15 hour to finish the story quest. and there's also side quests. after you finish the game there's shadow vault (a.k.a endless dungeon) and u can retire ur character (kindda like deleting it) and make a descendant, and u can give one of your old character item to your descendant. i give this game a 9/10. the only downside is the lack of multiplayer

@mutley2209 I'm basically a Blizzard fan (save for WoW, which I dislike for reasons too long to fit the tiny box provided). Diablo definitely takes the cake though. Can't wait for D3. I still play D2 and I still throb with glee as I load the game on it's native 800x600 resolution on my Macbook. Torchlight looks....agreeable as a substitute for D3. @akhilwarrior made by the same guys who worked on the first Diablo and i think a couple from the second, bought the game last night on the 360 been waiting for it to be available on marketplace for ages! big Diablo fan and if you are you'll love this game! it's like getting a trimmed down taster of what Diablo 3 will be, even took on a boss that was a spit of Anadriel =) but one piece of advice, play on Hard or Very Hard, i started the trial on Normal and it's piss easy other than that, great =D

Yeah... This game is so cool... it has many skills, unlike diablo and fate... but i still love those two... the only thing about destroyer here is his lack of "increase def skill" or called "Shout" for Diablo and "Spectral Armor" for Fate, if your melee type or in dual wielding that is, but destro here really has a good AOE skills and basic attack skills... Fate, Diablo, Torchlight, are really one of the best RPG games, thats why i can't compare which is the best in this 3... Hehehe...

Actually, the founders of Runic Games were part of Blizzard North while developing Diablo 1, they also developed Mythos back when they were called Flagship Studios, but shortly before the release of Mythos, they had to close down and Mythos was sold to the Korean MMO-publisher Hanbit Soft. So no surprise it's a lot like Diablo, since a few key people in Runic Games was helping Blizzard with Diablo 1.

i think i like Vanquisher the most, she is the master of ranged attacks and her ricochet skill is so powerful especially if you own an unique weapon with very high DPS. the highest level of ricochet skill inflicts nearly 200% of weapon DPS, not to mention critical strike.

Actually the people who started Runic Games were from the original Diablo series. As well as people who worked on Fate. ALSO the guy who created the diablo music also created the music for this game. Playing Torchlight, I got to level 40 in 2 days!

I will say this though - It's a total copy of diablo. The key control set is identical, the music is identical, the game mechanics are identical and even some of the monsters are similar. If I was Blizzard, I would be seeking legal advice for sure.
