  • What would Gustav Holst have thought about this? Would he have enjoyed it?

  • It would've been acoustic in those days...

  • @Prosciutto14:

Sent an e-mail to Manfred via his fansite's Webmaster. This was his reply:

His daughter [Imogen] had the right to refuse permission, she liked it, and so I imagine he would have. as well......Manfred

    Brings Joy

  • Fantastic song. Thanks so much for positing it!!!!

  • love this song

  • great song thanks!

  • It is a beautiful sunny Easter day in Charlotte, North Carolina, and this song popped into my mind. It seems to reflect the nature of the season. It is, of course, based on Holst's "Jupiter, the bringer of jollity", but is, in some ways, improved. Don't tell the Holst Foundation I said this though, as they would be cross, and that is NOT the spirit of the season. Or is it???

  • Bloody marvelous ahh 1973 the youth club what joyus days compared to what we have today good music good times thanks for letting the years slip back to a better time

  • @medievalnut yep! Just came across this,,,,,,,,takes me back to working with the forrestry in the north of Scotland. If this song doesn't cheer you up , nothing will. Thanks for posting.

  • I also saw them in Philly(Spectrum)I think was right after Solar Fire release! Cannot remember who else played! Guess I just went to see Earth Band! I do remember them having 2 lead guitars though(Mick Roders)was 1. The other was very good and they played lots of jams with twin leads(Wishbone Ash type)! I wonder who the other was? It was fantastic though!!!!

  • Those were the days!!! Saw them 5 times in Philly. With Argent and the Climax Blues Band!!!

    Excellent!!!!

  • Memories, memories. Right in the middle of glam rock.

  • Sublime! Thank you for posting this wonderful song! (It's based on Gustav Holst's 'Jupiter' from the Planets suite BTW).

  • Amazingly, I heard this song for the first time ever today on Sirius! It sounded so familiar, then I realized it was Holst. Just when you think you've heard it all...amazing!
