Dude I know how you feel, I had no problem beating him on Normal mode in the story mode, but he is a beast in Expert mode, it took me like 50 times to beat him on Expert, bit of advice to everyone, try to practice using Raiden in the arcade mode then learn all of his moves and kombos off by heart, best combo to use is teleport and charge attack him with Raidens Lightning Fly move, or try teleport duck and wait for an uppercut opening. Keep practising an you will beat him in no time

I seriously don't know what's the point about making the final boss at fighting games cheap as hell, you can't fight well against them. The best strategy for Shao Kahn, for exemple, is staying away and spamming something or using teleport when he throws something and then attack, because if he get's too close you're dead. I mean, he doesn't fight well at all but he doesn't even move with your attacks and his attacks can take away half of your life bar in a blink.

Dude, you never just stand there and go toe to toe with Shao Kahn! It's about timing. Sometimes my timing is off for an entire round, unfortunately. Sometimes my timing starts off good and the cpu knocks me out of my timing rhythm... But when I am in my timing rhythm, it's kind easy to keep teleporting to dodge, and attack with combos and his electric fly... when he tosses the hammer, jump... the ONLY person able to duck so low to get under is Meleena. (Ladder) Of course! Ha, get it?

If you can dogde that hammer you can break him with thunder fly, I tried by doing teleport when he throws it and then I move away from him and spawn electric bolts at him and thunder fly, but still then he breaks me somehow.

I just set it to Beginner and finished this fight. It's beyond unfair that he randomly gets no hitstun (which makes no strategy or attack safe), has a move that (thanks to the stun) can infinitely chain into itself (his thrown sledgehammer), AND has the regular, completely fair "well, it's a boss character" benefits that all the other boss characters get (>50 specials, your combos doing 6% damage, etc.) There's overpowered, and then there's blatantly unfair.

Now, these bosses are the easiest to beat in the expert ladder; however, Kahn will be the most trouble as he has his instantaneous shoulder rams! The basic premise is simple, wait for them to self-incriminate themselves then capitalize. Shang Tsung is to worry about especially when he morph's as it adds a 33% damage increase. I never try to beat them head on as they have super armor animations!!

Tried that distance + lightning ball technique but it must only work on easy, because for every lightning ball I threw I got a much more painful spear to the face. I'm only doing it on normal too!!!
