  • Wow. Who needs a pikachew when you can have this thing?

  • Lol before it was in your hand I thought it was the size of a small dog.

  • IT'S NO BEETLE, IT'S A POKEMOOOOOOON

  • beetles look like worms or caterpillars when they are in larval form.. although i beleive this is its adult form.

  • I had the random urge to eat that....

  • if i came within 20 ft of distance of that thing, i would scream like a justin bieber.

  • @MisturNick lol i would to

  • So cute o.o

  • looks more like a millipede, or a catipillar

  • So THATS what these things are!! I caught one once and had no idea what on earth it was. :P

  • tat is a trilobite that has been out of the water for too long...and it has made contact with a moonstone...and has had poketraining for 24 hours!

  • woahh.. i think it looks cool

i'd still freak out if one were crawling on me however

  • Gaaahhhh! The fuck??

  • What the fuck you should step on it!!!

  • @TropicalFishLovers All beetles are biologically defined, amongst other things, as having four wings: two soft ones for flight, and two hard ones to cover them. Even the males of this species have them. Seriously, look it up.

  • It's playing dead at the end, lol.

  • how big is tht thing? actual size? and i thought trilobites were extict

  • @blueberry1543 IT'S A TRIBULITE "BEETLE"DUMMY!!!

  • @thedarkabyss100 0_0 JESUS CHRIST IT WAS A FUCKING QUESTION.

  • @blueberry1543 hahaha

  • @zohir256 l0l righgt

  • @blueberry1543 umaaaaaaaaad?

  • its quite small isnt it? i'd like one if the tail didnt move to help it walk cuz that creps the FUCK out of me

  • Interesting how it uses it's tale as a seventh leg. I take it these are larval beetles? It looks like a really freaky larval ladybug.

  • lol.. it's like...,, it's in the middle of evolution. but got tired or lazy

  • Great bug!

  • i hate to dis but that is absolutely fugly!

    nice camera work

  • that is a total real life fossil!

  • instant kill pls. THX

  • It can't be a beetle: it has no wings...

  • @EVLWNS I guess mealworms can't be beetles either!

  • @memutic But mealworm beetle 'worms' are grubs, not adults, so of course they don't have wings. But they get wings eventually, if they aren't fed to your pets. So, unless this is a juvenile, or a highly neotenous adult, it can't be a beetle.

(P.S. I just did some research: it is a neotenous adult. My bad.)

  • @memutic but meal worms develope to actual beetles is this in the developing stage, unless this is still developing to some thing else?

  • @memutic well not until the metamorphasis

  • @memutic ya they turn into one duh

  • @memutic I hate bugs but that is the coolest thing I have ever seen.

  • @memutic they are worms hence the worm at the end of the name

  • @memutic But mealworms grow into actual beetles...

    Source: 2nd grade science project

  • @dinodude36 Sure, but they are "actual beetles" before the metamorphose too. There are plenty of trilobite beetles that turn into something more recognizable (ie, the Lampyridae family) but this is a special case of one that does not metamorphose. It's a conceptual problem: we also say a chicken comes out of an egg, but we don't say the egg is the chicken before it hatches: even though, clearly, the idea of "egg" also includes the chicken inside.

  • @memutic True, but I was just pointing out that the mealworm doesn't have wings but metamorphoses into a black, winged beetle. I'm not denying that the trilobite beetle isn't a beetle, I was just remarking that mealworms aren't "worms" their entire lives. (I like the chicken/egg analogy.) Also, nice video

  • @memutic Hey Memutic i gotta ask you something don't you find it odd that the trilobyte beetle can be in the same shape of the original trilobyte?,i mean its like they evolved into other shapes overtime or something, but overall you just earned yourself another subscriber because of this footage

  • @EVLWNS haha its an arthropod :P and arthropods do NOT need wings

  • @EVLWNS

    Taxonomy fail.

  • @TFYFWYA Was that directed at me, or the gentleman "penguinfury007"? Because he seriously failed, I didn't.

  • @EVLWNS EXPLAIN THE DUNG BEETLE!!!! lol

  • That thing looks like a badass "DON'T FUCK WITH ME" Caterpillar :P

  • The book i have on invertebrate paleontology is refreshingly vague and fanciful. So little is known, much less agreed-upon, in the Class Insecta

  • Awesome..

  • Looks delicious.

  • cool... i want one for a pet.

  • i'd totally shit myself if i saw that thing crawling around in my house...

  • wtf

  • ancient trilobites are aquatic crustaceans that appear to have gone extinct millions of years ago. This is called a trilobite beetle because it is a beetle which resembles a trilobite. In fact Darwin would have seen this coming, because he had an open mind, and realized that natural selection produces many strange creatures fit specifically for their environment, and nowhere else. A good rule is that any animal with 2 words in its name, the first word is a descriptor, and the2nd is taxonimic

  • @42ER0TH nawh Dawin would probably just say that to look cool and get the science ladies ;) , in his heart... he is probably pretty damn surprised...

  • hmm, is it realy a trilobite(doubt it, they are dead(could be a zombie)) or is it from its bloodline?

  • looks like it has the head of a snail ? is that wat it is?

  • Weird! But very cool, too! I wonder how those beetles came about?

  • Larva from zerg

  • wat the F*&^??? that thing is weird lol, but kool :)

  • wow i want one, can i get one in the states? whats their lifespan?
