DesertRat, there is no way in hell that the coroner would release the identity of the victim to anyone but the family. Furthermore, a body found in the desert is considered a crime scene and is handled by the police. So no mote deaths either made this whole thing up, or had contact with the family. What you posted proves nothing, except you cannot have an intelligent conversation without resorting to name calling.
So how did you know the dead woman's name? And that she was coming to reunite with her family? It's one of two things, either you're working with the smugglers, and coordinating your drops, which is breaking the law, making you morally no better than the smugglers, or, you completely made it up, and in that case how can we trust that any of this content is legitimate?
The number of people who die every years is mentioned in this video but how many more sustain permanent injuries and/or are disabled for life because of they are being forced to cross in ever more remote areas or as a result of intentional abuse by BP?
@giovannixconti Nobody, is "forcing" them to cross anywhere. They are not supposed to be here and sneaking into anywhere is wrong from the word go. If I snuck into to your house and took what I "needed" from your constituents it would not make it right. If people are willing to risk their lives knowingly risking death, then they should have the drive to repair their own broken systems. Do they need guidance and help, sure. But breaking into a country is not the way to get it.
@PiperPix Historically, No More Deaths has had volunteers cited for littering only on the Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge. The wildlife refuge is only a small area of the places where we work. We do regularly carry out and recycle the empty or slashed bottles that are left behind, and in addition to that, we have worked with the wildlife refuge a couple times to organize mass trash pickups (incidentally, a permit is required to pick up trash there....)
@PiperPix I don't know. I can make an educated guess that I cannot confirm to be true, though: A lot of protected land has laws that say you can't take anything out of them (like animals, plants, specimens, etc). I think they may be written in a way that it extends to EVERYTHING. I forgot to mention that all of the people that have been cited in the past have had their charges dropped.
p.s. perhaps the are/can confusion stems from too many lolcats :) can these volunteers has arrest? =P
This ICE moron called them "Felons" .. 1) Migration is a civil offense not a crime... 2) the individuals crossing have not had their due process... and therefore cannot legally be called felons. We need to bring on DNA based citizenship... where European DNA would be down at the bottom of the list with the mediterainian fruit fly.
"Dignity, and freedom of movement for all," huh... What's the address of your home? I want to see if you have any barricades that prevent a stranger from "freedom of movement" on & in your property. Do you zealots pick-up & recycle the empty water jugs you litter the environment with? If you want to truly help the mexicans, go to THEIR country and work on improving the situation there, instead of encouraging their dangerous & illegal entry. Border Patrol rescues them, not you.

@PhiSig1071 I'll answer the questions in order:
1) Rosalinda's body was taken to the coroner's office and identified by family members who verified that
2) she was coming to reunite with her family.
The possibility you didn't think of, dumbass, is that this humanitarian aid group has it together, and knows what to do when they find a body.

@revlisy A permit is required to *pick up trash*? Why is that?
Also, wow, totally meant "are" instead of "can". Proofreading fail.
