Anyone with half a brain researches the side affects of any drug before using. People need to realize that there isn't a quick fix, sometimes that alleged quick fix creates more problems.

I don't believe in taking drugs, legal or illegal to cure anything, never have and never will. The Pharmaceutical Company is no different than those that produce illegal drugs, expect that they are given the right to sell theirs.

If you are that gullible to not do research before popping a pill in your mouth than you deserve the rare side effects. Medicine saves lives but it is also a business that needs money, money that will go forward the companies being able to save more lives and more importantly to them make more money. Of course they aren't on your side 24/7, that's why you should educate yourself instead of making decisions base solely on aesthetics. Knowledge is power.

I agree drug companies do a lot of seemingly evil things. Like the hundreds of easy to remember trade names. and alien sounding generic name. I mean do more people say Tylenol or Acetaminophen ? It's ridiculous. But they spent millions and on average 8 years on developing a drug, of course they want a profit. Then again, if you are so concerned about your health learn about the drug beyond this commercial, Dont cheapen your education and risk your health because the info is not in video form.

This is the point of pt. education by doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. Their licenses require them to educate the pt on their drugs. You shouldn't rely on this commercial for the adverse effects of this antilipidemic drug. If you do, then you aren't taking responsibility for your OWN health. If you still take the drug incorrectly, mixing it with alcohol and other drugs after health professionals who gave it to you told you not to, then it's all your fault. You cant just buy this OTC afterall.

Target audience, much? I think it is amazing how no one researches the things they ingest...how naive can we be? We all make mistakes and that is what they are betting on. Of course, it takes a doctor and a pharmacist to give you those pills. They tried to put me on a drug, that had about three pages of possible side effects. After about 2 months, I stopped taking them, even though they told me I would have to be on them for 2 years. Of course, I was fine without them. Communication is good...

How about Boniva? I guess only 3% of the women who take it except it well, while the other only 97% have terrible pain in their bones, which causes them to not be able to walk. Some may have their jaw bone - what do you know - disappear even faster, causing them to lose some teeth possibly.  Scary, she didn't even know this was going to happen, almost definitely.

Compare the amount of language the government forces them to say to the small message they want to communicate. Who's fault is it that there is a laundry list of meaningless bureaucratic language instead of a clear simple message about appropriate risk? What if bleach DID have to have a government mandated warning for 50% of the ads?

Dangit!...They got me...I think the real reasons you can't remember the side effects are because of those picture comparisons...You're too far busy entertaining yourself by comparing the foods with the particular person that you're not attentive to the dialogue...That's a good explanation as well...All I really remember is back pain or muscle tension I believe...I hate the pharmaceutical industry...They deserve to burn in hell...

Ok...are they curing anything? do they actually want to? do the side effects outweigh the benefits? Did you know all pharmaceuticals are derived from natural sources and can be substituted by natural herbs and roots? What is causing the problem, is it diet? it's not heredity! There is nothing determined whatsoever that sentences anyone to terminal health problems which cannot be reversed or treated without the western heavily medicated approach. Don't enjoy taking drugs and being a victim?
