really your saving 6 grand (maybe) if you get it brand new off the lot. I got a used v6 (06) for 11.5k where they were selling GT for 18. So it makes sense for me to mod my v6 and save some money. However your really just kind of building a GT
A V6 always beats a GT off the line? People never cease to amazine me. This might always be the case with a guy who flat out can't drive a GT and can't get it to hook. And that second race the driver said "oh he just lost to a 6". Dude you got him off the line (I don't think the GT was even launching) then you were balls to the wall and here comes that GT gaining on you like you were nothing.
A slightly tricked out V6 could beat the V8 off the line because they are a bit lighter I guess, but when that V8 comes alive your done, like this video showed. I have a V6 but I wouldn't race a V8 unless mine was S/C you would look like a jack ass :D
It'd have to be way tricked out. The V6 in this video put a car and half on that GT halfway through first gear! That GT was completely just rolling off the line and toying with him. im not going to get personal like people do on here, but the curb weight on these cars is not much different at all. I've been a Mustang guy and member of a lot of local clubs and forums for a long time and for people (not you) to say that a V6 will take a GT off the line is just ridiculous.
To be honest with you I really don't know that much about either the V8 or the V6 Technically. I was really surprised that the GT didn't take the V6. The V6 is all I have so I really enjoy the car. It performs nicely and sounds really cool now that I put flowmasters on it. I want to get a 04 sonic blue cobra one day.

Those 4.0 are lighter and rev high. They will hang with a GT if it's modded.
