@lyokomaster7 Dogs know how, it's natural. If they have never done it before though they are a little nervous. I believe humans do too, they just panic and dogs don't. Dogs don't think of drowning, they listen to their instincts.

I've never had a husky, but im seriously considering getting one, i hear they can be difficult animals, diggers, shedders, escapists, but i think im up for the challenge, any advice for me?

@fivedollerfootlong Huskys are definitely an awesome dog to have, but of course the hair is a problem... be prepared to get attached and every time they get loose (cuz I guarantee it'll get out one way or another) it will feel like your heart was ripped out, but every time you catch it and get it back it makes it better knowing that the dog is always safer in your arms, some how making owner and dog closer. I recomend getting a husky. But their like potato chips, you cant just have one :P

@SilverWolf626 Thanks for the advice, i live in a normal climate where its hot and cold year round, will a husky adjust to the warmer weather? And I hear they are the best dog to keep owners in shape since they require adequate amounts of exercise.

@SilverWolf626 Iagree, thats why I have 2 huskies and an american eskimo, and yes, thew husky will escape at some point!! he hates the pool because we got him when the pool was closed and covered and he would run across the cover, when the pool was opened, he stood on the diving board, looked in, kinda realized something was different and just jumped in, totally scarred him. I take him to a dog beach and he will run into the water and swim around and loves it, but the pool, no way.

aww this is very cute :) Well you have the first thing done to making him less nervous. It helps if there is someone in the water and on along the side. But dogs mostly get nervous because they might be looking for an exit. He probably didn't know he could climb over the edge of the pool. I hope he's okay with swimming now. :)

Strangely enough, he knew how it get in and out of the pool via the steps straight off, and how to swim so gracefully at his first attempt! He doesn't swim that much now, he's all about his looks!

@Msakaji well it is a natural instinct for dogs to swim, so it would be okay 14 weeks or a little older, around the time your husky is playful. And just hold him in the water and slowly let go and stay close to it and your husky would learn quickly :) My husky learned at 14 weeks because we were all outside and she just jumped in and started swimming! :) hope this helped
