Well, it was hard work for Italy´s army to conquer even Abessinia (Ethiopia). Even that took few years time. Well, it was hard work for Italy´s army to conquer even Abessinia (Ethiopia). Even that took few years time. Greece was then totally mission impossible, though Italian troops had no lack of modern weapons and their army was quite well equiped. Only Germany´s help saved Mussolini´s armies from totall military catastroph in Greece.
