@thirdlife911 at high speeds its supposed to turn the same direction... makes high speed lane changing safer my removing the fish tail effect.... and and low speeds it increases turning radius by turning the rear in opp directions
@LimYQS no, high speed it turns opposite, to reduce understeer, turning WITH it would simply understeer like a bitch. (being that it's a front wheel drive)
nah the one in the 3rd generation was 2 heavy but it was the most reliable. The electronic version they made after was the worst and caused the company to drop it from future cars.
The mechanical 4ws in the 3rd generation-(88 to 91) never needed repair and was predictable, however it added more weight but the electronic version in the 4th-gen (92 and up) were all constant repair jobs. Honda suffered such a loss from the electronic version they decided to drop it all together in future ones.
@flinchey I'm referring only to the electric 4WS components of the 4th generation and up; in comparison to the 3rd generation mechanical 4WS components.
i have a 1988 prelude 2.0 si with 4ws its not all that great my car sits 1 1/2 inch off the ground and the 4ws is shitty with a lowering kit

@N9olan constant repair jobs? so all the preludes (well most) here in aus with 200,000 or more km, and it still works, is a constant repair job?
