People pissed off at Andy passing need to get over it. Its mean to say it, but life goes on. Even after the third serville war life went on (Spartacus war), after the civil war, World War I and II ect.

Andy was a great actor, in fact to me Andy took me a bit to get use to, to me he didn't fully embrace the role into probably the 4th episode in.

I think the same with Liam, he is a great actor, this show has more then 1, and its writing is impeccable, extremely creative. Get Over it! He is misse

I like the new season, and so far Liam hasn't bothered me too much. At first I did miss Andy a lot, but that's to be expected as the man has DIED. He didn't leave the show because he wanted to, or because the producers/director didn't want him, he died. So a recast was inevitable. As was the chance that Andy was cloned, and his clone to replace him.

So give Liam a break. He does the job well, and knows who's shoes he has the fill. He may be thinner, but I bet he's probably working on it.

Agree with the people who have said this show has lost its way. To lose Andy was hard enough. The guy they picked to replace him is miserable in the role. He's not big enough physically, his acting capability is average, he has no depth like Andy did and his fighting scenes look ridiculous. How does a guy whose built like an eleven year old boy kill men three times his size? John Hannah isn't here anymore and Navia has been recast. It's just too much to take all in one season. They screwed this.

Why does this show censor all female frontal nudity. The women are all wearing merkens (pubic wigs) to hide the vagina. Yet we see penis ALL THE TIME. Hollywood always does this. Whether its Spartacus, Shameless, Game Of Thrones, or movies like Hall Pass and Bruno, they ALWAYS show penis. But the vagina is never shown. You never see a woman groomed in a modern day style without a merken to hide the vagina. Why the double standard? Just once lets's see female nudity as graphic as the male nudity.

@LazarusStirs it's odd, mainly because in terms of frontal nudity, female nudity is generally more common if you look at film history. But to be fair, it is easier to spot everything on a man when he's naked, than on a woman. Especially if the woman hasn't removed all the hair in the lower region.

How they are keeping this series together is a miracle, but it gets annoying to see more and more characters being done by different actors such as Naevia, just losing connection with the characters. Just doesn't feel the same, Especially because andy Whitfield has been replaced by some guy who looks skinny and is ruining the acting on his part with his accent and lack of the roman sounding grammar, almost bad improv :(

I'm big fan of the original Blood and Sand. Gods of the Arena was also a good show. Unfortunately new season of B&S sucks. Where the hell is plot in these episodes? Are the main characters going to liberate each other till the season finalle? Swordplay in slow-motion and soft porn weren't exactly the reason why first season was so damn good. They've just spiced it up. Now there's nothing more. I'm sorry to say, but the writers made this show stupid and boring.

@1Steffon1 I disagree, Liam is not as built in the abs section, but I think his frame is more built then Andy, and he is taller than Andy which even makes him look even more bulky and toned.

I don't know if it is just the first episode, or it could be the whole season, but they could of worked more on the section. Probably will see it more toned near the end of the season given Liam was a toothpick before shooting for Spartacus.
