There is a difference between American English and British English. (British) English is considered the "true English" of the language world.

What I'm trying to say is, there are various English accents. One can't just call it English accent. There is Australian English, American English, & Canadian English... it goes on.

Kind of like how there are various accents/sub-languages in Asian cultures.

Foreign countries are desperate for native American accented English speakers. I'm an ESL major finishing up my TESOL certification. There are many places that specify they want "American accented" teachers for ESL. American/Canadian native speakers are normally preferred.

Sure as an artist we shouldn't really care about his education but the problem is he marketed his educational background and used people admiration of his fluent English to start up his career.
