A common trick to get sound from my ZX80 and ZX81 was to place the machine next to an AM radio. Programming loops with different delays would give you interferences tones of different pitch on the radio. A great way to get a monophon sequencer in 1980.

Oops - Er actually no I meant ZX80 and got sound (tones) out of RF modulator :)
