Look she was created as a sex symbol nothing more. She can't have a personality disorder because she doesn't have a personality even a fictitious one she's eye candy with lines and even her voice is a sex icon. This isn't education it's overanalyzing entertainment
Like the Barbi dolls, if Jessica Rabbit were a real person she would have trouble carrying that unnaturally large bust and with that impossibly thin waist she couldn't possibly contain her vital organs. I think an abnormal personality would be the least of her worries. Not only do I prefer real women (as in flesh and blood) but I want them to be in decent physical and mental health.
I have HPD and Jessica Rabbit is a good example. She exudes confidence and seductivness to attract the attention she craves, and feels good and confident while she is getting it--but would fall to pieces if she did not receive it. And her pronoucments of love for a clearly dysfunctional individual are also another character trait of HPD.
I think you need to think twice before giving a psychological evaluation of a TOON character. And she proves you wrong in all different ways possible despite being a cartoon female. Score one for the Jessica
"They are often very attractive and use physical attractivness to gain attention"
my response to that is from Jessica saying "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."
Have you actually watched this movie media shrink? because HPD is not even close to explaining Jessica. Jessica is Far from insecure, for a start! Plus if you look up behind the scnes stuff for WFRR you will see that the producers asked for the most lusty ott voice they could get.
There isn't enough space to state it, but all 8 of the histrionic warning signs do not relate to Jessica Rabbit in any way. The movie illustrates her as passive yet supportive, madly in love with Roger (who loves her back just the same), loyal and careful, and an equal partner in her marriage.
Tough break, MediaShrink. Maybe you should consider a new topic.
i think the purpose of this video was to show that IF Jessica Rabbit were a real woman in the real world she would probably have this disorder. Of course in the context of the movie, she was made to be overly sexualized and vampy, but again, if she were real she'd have a problem.
everybody check the car scene when the detectie and his girl comes out. under "who framed roger rabit part 6" this guy is very right. its kinda freaky. when jessica rabbit first sticks her head out she looks insecure wondering(hoping) their talking abut her. then when she knows their talking about her, she shows her desperate flatteration. and her facial twitch shows how attached she is to their statements. im a proud psychologist!!!!
I like people getting at Disney like that. Last joke was that Aladdin makes children rasicts because Jafar is bad and evil and he has darker skin :,)
And anyway, many girls would NOT behave similary to this (now Jessica IS exaggarated) if guys wouldn't want them to ;) (No I am no feminist, no guy-hater) This is just a very easy logic equation.Guys fall for girls like that, so they behave that way ^^
aladdin is the hero of that film and he also has dark skin. disney doesn't make kids rasists! That shit! that's like saying they hate octopi because of the little mermaid. jessica rabbit is jus a character lighten up.
I am not certain if Jessica is a good example. She is MEANT to be an over-exaggeration in both looks and dramatics. She is also confident in herself, and does not really seek attention.
I like how conveniently, there are no clips of her with Roger. Of course her relationship is intimate. She is MARRIED. From what I saw, their relationship is fairly stable (for a pair of toons). And by how they act, I think that kills off #3 and #8 right there. In fact, I think only #2 and #4 hold any water.
pata cake!!! that was the funniest bit of film noir spoof ive seen all day..I looked outside my window it was dark and brooding like my cat flufffles...
I think Kathleen Turner (the voice of Jessica Rabbit) would make a good voice for Rouge the Bat. That is, if she can still make that voice and if Sega DOES replace the 4Kids cast.
Why does this appear to be offensive?

With that argument so is Betty Boop.

Criteria for Histrionic Personality Disorder
9. They must be a real human being and not a fictitious drawing?

interesting combination, although dont know if she is a good example, as she is not a real person and is an exaggeration of many things

It is a good example because I actually dated someone who had HPD. The characteristics were exactly the same.
