  • great song. I first heard this on Parenthood and searched for a while to get the title and artist

  • Those that say good music is dead.... just aren't looking hard enough. This song is amazing.

  • @k1k3TLCOYO I was thinking the same thing. . .The Besnard Lakes, Deerhunter, Beach House and NoAge have all made incredible records this year.

  • I can't believe how well a design infomercial from the 50's can make this track even dreamier than it already is. Hypnotizing and excellent.

  • shit. i can't stop listening to this song.

  • Yeah I was amazed when I first heard this song-its one of those songs that pulls you in the first time you hear-even alittle bit of it.

  • @Mensahwatts i know what you mean, it occured to me that this song is the new soundtrack of my life

  • @Mensahwatts haha its funny you say that because I only heard a 30 second sound clip from itunes and thats what brought me here.

  • @LoungeAct88 coooolish yeah-if one of my books ever get made into a movie I will demand that they put this song in the movie

  • Poquitas cosas puede haber mas bellas que esta canción.Muy pocas.

you like this? you like boards of canada!

  • One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

  • someone asked about the bands that sound like this...

One recommendation that hasn't been mentioned below is School of Seven Bells...to mey ear, there is similarity in both the watery sound, and the high pitched vocal.

  • I don't think they're really that similar, but whatever.

    Seconding the recommendation.

  • It sounds a lot like Bent i think. Much like the record 'Programmed to Love'...

  • I ♥ Laetitia Sadier

  • Every day when I walk home from school, I listen to this song. I probably look pretty baked with my eyes half-open, staring up at the sky with earphones in my head. But I don't even care because this song is so beautiful.

  • @kittenkraze13

    best comment ever

  • @kittenkraze13 You probably are high..hell, I'm high right now and I'm lovin' this.

  • @kittenkraze13 what a superb comment. amazing how music can turn the world into a dreamland sometimes.

  • goosebumper

  • makes me wanna cry and look at the sky

  • me too!

  • I wish atlas sound and animal collective would get together and have a musical baby.

  • @guttergawker ahahahaha that would be awesomeness

  • they did! Walkabout

  • On Walkabout on the Logos Album, Noah Lennox(Panda Bear) does guest vocals so I guess thats kinda like an Atlas Sound/AC fling.. Baby on the way?

  • @guttergawker they did and called it Walkabout. haha.

  • @guttergawker that would be one hell of a sexy night between the sheets

  • @guttergawker they did, stupid. 'Walkabout' features Noah of animal collective.

  • @luluberyllium great, thxs 4 the news flash super brain. U need to go rethink ur life if u need 2 insult others via YT comments. Peace be w/ ur dark n lonely soul. I was talking bout the whole group not just Noah...penis face

  • @guttergawker if that happened i would kidanp the baby

  • @guttergawker they did, or at least Noah Lennox and Cox did a colab song. it's called Walkabout.

  • @guttergawker and that baby would be named JESUS

  • @guttergawker "walkabout" figuratively fits that description

  • @guttergawker Come to the Atlanta this Friday, Atlas is opening for AC, and I get to witness it. U jelly?

  • anyone care to share a list of bands that sound like this? PM me or just reply!

    thanks

  • one band comes to mind, and that one would be Memory Cassette. look them up, you will love.

  • Atlas Sound is the solo project of Deerhunter's lead singer. They sound different, but equally awesome. Obviously Sterolab is a good place to start. Broadcast is similar too.

  • apparently efterklang sounds kind of like this. I'm only just getting into them though, so I dunno. If you wanna go for some old school experimental rock, like 60's status old school, try CAN's Tago Mago, or Rotary Connection

  • Can rocks my world always

  • i think u mean "ethereal"

  • i have heard so many bands use the "watery" sound effect as the intro.but im never tired of it.

  • There is also Eames chairs, Breuer furniture, and Francis Knoll glassware.

  • The opening painting is a Mondrian. Most of the furniture is 50's and 60's modern by the designer Noguchi. and i believe there is a Le Corbusier chair in there. they are both architects and the most notable of the modern movement.

  • One night with a glass of red wine, a view of the city and this song a friend declared it the perfect song . I happen to agree.

  • or reply : )

  • gutter, some of the furniture is 50's maybe and definitely 60's.

nice stuff. beyond that, this song is incredible. check out Hive or DWR to get info on some of the furniture

  • Thanks for the info. Yeah this song is amazing, video is cool to.

  • Is all the furniture in this video 70's Americana? If anyone knows please post. Thank you.

  • i love you all for loving this

  • btw , this is obv 50 times better than any "Air " song on that sountrack , before any of you eat me alive . haha . such a great song

  • I love this song , s different than anything i have heard in a while . Kinda reminds me of some of the old "air" songs on the virgin suicides soundtract but more uptempo . Give me that same vibe . Check out Efterklangs "modern drift"

  • this song is even more amazing on dxm, its like a feeling of pure ecstasy going through every cell in ur body, like ur having an orgasm everywhere

  • Wow, this song was so ethereal and transcendent that a had to seek out the lyrics, and they too were equally awe inspiring. These beautiful images were taken from the 1958 film The American Look

  • best song of the year so far

  • To my core, wow! I am a stream of consciousness, ambient mood music addict, and this is a fix that lasts.

  • i love that one part where it just completely breaks off and you're like "wtf?" and you think it's about to change up, but then the beat that you're so familiar with just comes back five times stronger.

    that was fantastic.

  • @ofarevolution441 I think it needs that to bring you back to earth before lifting you back up even higher ;)

  • This is absolutely beautiful....

  • Hauntingly mesmerizing...

  • The song is fantastic and I loved to watch the composition in each pictures. The shapes are awesome.

  • This is an amazing tune, it´s hipnotic, it´s contagious, since you start to hear this song it hits the brain in such a way you can't do anything until it stops.

And the images are just perfect for this tune.

Anyone can tell if this images are from a movie or just publicity films or other thing...

    Thanks for this video...

    I just love it.

Have to listen again and again ang again and again...

  • Bradford has struck gold yet again with this song. This video is great. The film excerpts are the perfect accompaniment, and together this is a prime example of the perfection youtube can bring to our computer screens.

  • This is the kind of song that has the power to literally stop you in your tracks as you pass the radio. I was with a customer at work when I heard this for the first time, and I just couldn't let this this song fade into the abyss. I whipped out my phone right then and there, taking note of the time so I could look it up on the station's playlist later. This is a rare gem that only comes along very rarely. Just like greenhitband, I'm happy to listen to this into infinity, and I have! = )

  • best song I've heard up to this point in my life. I think I've listened to it 50 times in the past 24 hours

  • He has really long fingers.

  • Atlas Sound + Laetitia Sadier = heaven

  • sheer loveliness x

  • i wanted to live the life of a prince because I thought saints were born saints so indeed we didn't stand a chance insalubrious offshoots of nature with heart and mind of our own all the daughters all the sons taking centuries to unearth the creature heralding a stage where consciousness is higher taken through a costly process of success and failure i thought saints were born saints i looked in the dirt and found wisdom is learnt through a costly process of success and failure
  • Thank you for that!!!

  • Brilliant! Her voice makes me feel perfect!

  • does youtube have a repeat button?

  • so good. Especially at very very loud volumes. This is what Sterolab should be doing!!

  • This is a match made in heaven. Not sure about the video, though. Maybe it will grow on me.

  • i could listen to this over and over and over and.....

  • My fav track on the album, fuckn awesome shit

  • Awesome.
